Chapter 24 Grinded to the Core Trial

The elevator seem to go down forever but it made it the the trial room. As always it was a different color. The walls was a bright blue color and the floor a dark red. A new sign was up to it had a picture of Kolby. I look up to where Alter and Tamashi was and something didn't seem right. Alter looked fine but Tamashi looked well dead. His face look as if he was in a lot of pain,(Maybe Alter said something to him that made him like this, yeah that's probably it). We all stood at outmr designated spots,"Now let the Grinded to the Core Trial BEGIN", Tamashi said. "OK I'll go first, Adam has brought to our attention that Kolby drowned and was not crushed, so before we get to that let's figure out where everyone was last night", Tyler said. "OK, well I was in my room asleep and I only woke up because of Evan", I said. "Well I only woke up because Adam came to alert me that a body was found", Evan said. "Is that so, well Adam how did you know there was a body on that island", Denzell said. "Well, Tyler and I thought that the island was very suspicious so we wanted to check it out a bit more, that's all right Tyler", Adam said. "Yeah he's right that's all we were doing", Tyler ended. "Sounds a little fishy if you ask me", Denzell said. "How is it fishy, we were just looking at an island that's all and it just so happen that we found Kolby's body too", Tyler said. "So I guess everyone else was sleep too right," Quentin said going back to topic. "Yeah that means the only people that were up was Adam and Tyler", Denzell added. "I swear we didn't do it, we found the body, if we killed Kolby's why would we run and tell you guys", Adam said. "Well, to lessen the suspicion on you guys", Delirious said. "What would be their motive, what reason would they have to kill Kolby", Evan said. "Maybe they were tired of his redundant speeches about hope", Denzell said. "That's not true, I ignore Kolby and I'm barely around him too", Tyler said. "Adam what about you", I asked. "Same with Tyler, it makes no sense to say that only we had issues with Kolby's speech", Adam said. "There's one thing that happened yesterday that I have to ask you Denzell", Quentin said. Denzell looked at Quentin confused," What is it". "Well yesterday you went off with Kolby somewhere not your rooms, where did you guys go", Quentin said. "We went to argue at the market that's all",Denzell said. "Why there", Delirious asked. "Well we didn't want to disturb you guys", Denzell said. "OK now that we know about the whereabouts of everyone, let's go over the evidence", Tyler said. "OK we'll, we found this", Evan pulled out a ball of wire and ointment. "We found it in one of the rooms that we were in". "Well we saw that kolby's arms were tied up together, so that explains the wire, but what about the ointment what would that be used for", I said. "Wait I found this too", Quentin said. He pulled out a rag with blood and a bent pipe. "Quentin where did you find those", I asked. "When I went to get you new clothes, I found it on the way", He said. "Why did he need new clothes", Delirious asked. "We'll it turns out that there was a Cauldron filled with Hydrofluoric acid and it was used to drown Kolby. It left a trail behind and Shadow slipped in it, and I know that it doesn't work well with clothes", Quentin added. "You sure know a lot about it Quentin why", Denzell asked. "Well, I'm the ultimate swimmer, you have to know what type of water you're swimming in", he said. "But it's strange how you know exactly what this liquid does exactly, is there anything else about it that you want to tell us", Denzell said. Quentin nodded," It burns skin,and no Denzell I didn't kill Kolby because one I have no burn marks on me , and two even if you wore gloves the acid will burn that too and get to your hands". "That also means that Adam and Tyler are innocent because they have no burn marks whatsoever", Evan said. "OK, so now were left with no suspects again, great". "Wait", Quentin said. "Who ever murdered Kolby, wouldn't they have burn marks on them". "You're right, everyone show your hands",Adam said. When I showed my hands a had a few glances. "What!?", I said. "Shadow why are you're hands burnt", Tyler asked. "Oh I fell in the trail of acid, you can ask Adam and Quentin", I said. Adam and Quentin both nodded in reassurance. "So no one has any burns on there hands whatsoever, what the hell, he couldn't have committed suicide, the death was so complex", Evan said. "Wait!?, I think I might know who the killer could be", Tyler said. "H-How", Adam said. "Well, maybe we can go off by saying whoever, had a very true hatred for Kolby did it". "That's kinda dumb, the killer could just lie and say they

(Missing, wait the rag). "There was a rag that Quentin found at the scene, which means that the killer could be still wearing the same clothes that they killed Kolby with", I said. "Wait...that means the killer could have traces of blood on them", Delirious said. "That's a dumb idea why would there be blood, wouldn't it have dried up and faded away", Denzell said. "If there's one thing that leaves a stain and never goes away its blood", Tyler said. We began looking at each others clothes. "Hey Denny, what's that on the back of your shirt", Tyler said. "What!, Denzell said nervously backing away from Tyler. Adam walked up behind him and grabbed his shirt,"It's all Brown...Looks like blood". "I don't know what you're talking about that's not blood", Denzell said angrily. "Then what is it den, if its not blood what is it, you are aware blood looks brown when it dries up, so Denny tell me is it not blood", I said. Denzell froze, his face looked as if he was going to explode with anger. "So I guess you guys wanna vote right", Alter said. Tamashi elbowed his side," That's my line, So ready to vote, idiots". Looking at Tamashi he looked Pale very pale but I brushed it off as it being nothing important. We all voted and three faces of Denzell appeared on the slot machine. "Denzell...why...did you do it", I asked. "He...heh....heheh...Isn't it obvious, I killed him because when we got our photo's that day...he knew something about mine and wouldn't tell me....I wanted to know about my girlfriend.... I wanted to know if she was safe...I killed him because he kept toying with me...and..I enjoyed every minute of Kolby death...I was so satisfying", Denzell said. "I guess its time for his execution shall we start", Tamashi said.

Denzell was in a room and he was given a pencil and a sketch book. There was a guy in a suit and armor that was controlled by Tamashi. The puppet drew something in his sketch book and it came to life it was a Big venomous snake. It was going for Denzell but he drew a lighter and burned the snake. The constantly went back and forth drawing after drawing until. Denzell ran out of paper. The next thing that the armor guy drew was a crossbow that can shoot many bows. Tamashi walked to the sidelines to watch. Denzell tries to move out the way but an arrow shot him in the leg. Next the guy drew handcuffs around Denzell's arms and legs and they began to pull. He screamed and screamed, it was making me very sick to my stomach. And in a matter of second all of his limbs tore. Blood and bones scatter the floor. I wanted to vomit but I tried to keep myself from doing so. "Heh.....heh.....he...". Tamashi was laughing but he was wheezing and trying to gasp for air. *Thud* "Uh, Tamashi!?", Alter said. Tamashi had Passed out on the floor. "Hi...His pulse is weak I need to get him out of here",Alter said. (What....What's going on!?).
