Dawn was at its peak. Filling the sky with its usual flames. The playground once crowded full of children, had scattered after they bid their farewells. Little figures running about to find their loving guardians. Leaving the nature to its peace. However,  there's still one child remained by the bench.

Softly, the breeze danced around his cow-flicked hair, lifting the pale skin face to meet the loneliness. Blinded by the shredded lights, as that 6-year-old boy raised from his novel to block his pure sapphire orbs. His gaze never seems to be amazed by the same scenery, letting out a heavy sigh.

'I should probably go home before mom gives me an earful." Agreeing with his thoughts, he shut his sight to greet a moment of darkness. It seems just like only yesterday, on the same bench, reading his favourite Sherlock Holmes series, then after a couple of hours of decoding, finding to gaze upon this same surroundings. He just wished that someone, anyone, can save him from this threatening illness called boredom

'I'm tired of having the same scenario, being played back over and over again.' Groaned as he laid back on the rough and uneven bench.

"Pfft! What in the world am I even saying?" laughing at his bitter self-desire.

Pop!

Instinctively, his eyes shot wide open, out of nowhere, a scarlet rose bloomed right in front of his face. Squinting while he analysed the object as he followed the connection of the thorn-less rose, to a grinning boy. The boy pushed it further to his face as a signal to accept the rose. Slowly and carefully, he grasped on the stem earning a massive grin as well as revealing those amethyst orbs sparkling of a mischievous trickster.

Amethyst meeting Sapphire.

"Kuroba Kaito at your service! Someday, like my dad, I'll be the world's number one magician! Mark my words!" Bowing having one of his arms in the front, the other to his back. Puff! Possessing another rose in one of his hand, but the petals are Sapphire blue. Extending his reach, putting the rare-coloured beauty, delicately and tenderly at the boy's pale-like fragile right ear.

Nodding at his strange way of greeting, his stare never leaving the like same age stranger that's before him. "... Kudo Shinichi. Like my father, aiming to be the world's number one detective. By the way, I needed a bookmark. So thanks." he smiled softly, babbling out a gasp from the other.

"....As I though! You look really cute when you smile. So you should smile more! The blue rose is really bringing out your eyes very clearly and attractive, it's really irresistible not to stare." Hearing these words other than his mother. The stranger even added in the last phase that was really not necessarily needed to comment, had made Shinichi flushed tomato red.

"C-cute?! You shouldn't call a boy cute!" Shinichi squawked.

"Ah! Even your blush is adorable!" Trying to keep his redness under control, though, the key word is trying. Instead, he mashed his hands against his cheeks to hide away any more embarrassment that could make any adult, man or women, swoon over this appealing chibi.

"Geez! stop it Kuroba!-"

"Call me Kaito, Shin-chan~" The ever-so grin just gradually kept growing like there's no tomorrow.

"Don't use that nickname!" Pointing and excusing at the boy, frantically.

"What? But I like that name~ Shin-chan.... It has a ring to it~" Kaito puffed out his cheeks, though, to Shinichi, with all the times he spends having to be chased down by his actor-mother, also as well as being a dress-up doll, he knew that it was just a child used act.

"My mom is the only one that can call me by that name! I don't need another." Slightly pouting, but visible to the other's view.

"Thennn you can call me Kai-chan~" The going-to-be-detective, raised a brow to glare at the going-to-be-magician. Observing the figure, as he found the entertainment around his features.

"That doesn't make a difference, you wouldn't be affected by it!-"

"Alright! now that's done! hey... why are you alone here? to add that, in this time of the day?" Kaito scouted the environment and frowned. Establishing his focus back to the lone being.

"Don't change the subject!"

"My dad is visiting an old friend, and I was told that his son might be around here, reading a book," he looked down on Shinichi's lap to find one. "Seems like I found him! Well? Wanna go home?"

"I was about to anyways..." Casting a glance to the distance view.

"Then let's go! I really want you to meet my dad! My dad is an amazing magician. You can't miss out any of his magic tricks!" Amethyst shined through across the other's gaze, noting that he's very well proud of his magician dad.

'"Then, I want you to meet my dad. He is a brilliant detective and I know that he can easily figure your dad's tricks, like a book." The other widen his eyes, but didn't back down since his dad's pride is on the line.

"No way! He wouldn't be able to figure it out since you are talking about my dad here!"

"Oh? you wanna a bet?" Folding his arms, with a confident smirk appearing on his face.

"You're on!" Mimicking his pose with an even bigger smirk.

Seriously, what has this event turn out into?'

Lowering the received rose to meet the centre of the pages. As he begins to shut the pages to a well-ending story..... He never realized that this, is where their story begins with a single pop.
