"How did I get myself into this?" I asked myself out loud as I carried my bag pack with lunch sitting inside as I gathered with Judai, Hayato, Shou and Asuka.

"But you agreed!" Judai whined, but I really don't remember agreeing to come for this excursion. He must have asked me really early in the morning, at that time I'm usually half asleep so I wouldn't remember much.

"So what is this trip about?"

"We are visiting ancient ruins in the school nya." Daitokui sensei explains, while I nodded and we soon took off. 'Then why did I bring my duel disk with me?' I mentally wondered, as our little expedition team continued walking through the dense forest.

After a few hours of traveling and Hayato whining that he is tired and hungry, we finally reached these so called ruins. "We have reached Nya. How about we have lunch now?" everyone cheered and Daitokuji sensei said that he wouldn't be sharing the lunch that Tome san made for him. Not that I really give much shit. I just pulled out my lunch box and opened it to share what I made.

"Wow, you really made a lot of food, Kai san." Shou commented before taking one of the rice balls inside.

"This is nothing much." I replied and took my share of food. Then sensei whined that Pharaoh the fat cat has eaten his lunch. I made no comments as Judai and the rest were taunting him about not sharing his food in the first place.

'Master, this place feels weird. Get out of here fast!' I heard Ember Liger say as he appeared beside me. Judai and I jumped a little at his sudden appearance. 'Weird?

All of a sudden there was a bright flash of light and we were like transported to a different place with 3 suns. "Alright... where are we?" I asked out and looked at the sky, to see a sort of space void.

'Kuri,kuri!' I heard my partner call out. "Aibou, what's wrong? You want me to run?" I asked Star Gate, Hoshi Kuriboh, he looks like a mirror image of a Kuriboh with brown fur and a silver star with a gold ring on its back. I was too busy taking to him that I didn't notice that the rest of the group wasn't with me anymore. "Well, since I'm alone. I should get out of here." I mumbled and took off' way from the weird void. But there was another bright light and I found myself in a chamber of sort. "Okay.. Where am I?" I questioned myself and walked out of the chamber to a place which looked like the ruins we were at but just, a lot less ruined. 'Master you need to leave this place.' Ember liger appeared beside me.

"But how?" I asked back, feeling really uncomfortable in this weird place. 'We can only leave when the 3 suns a line again. But first, there is something that is calling us, climb on.' He told me and bends down for me to sit on him and he started running. Soon we reached a weird alter which has some unreadable writings and a huge crystal ball. I got off Ember Liger and we climbed up the stairs to the huge crystal.

'I sense a strong power coming from this crystal, as if it's calling out to someone.' Ember explains as I got closer to our target. As we closed our gap, it started giving off a dark and sparkly glow. It made my head feel really hazy as well, but I ignored the numbness and went to the sphere. It felt like something powerful is calling out to me and wants my powers. I raised my hand to touch the smooth surface of the ball, but after that it gave off a dark shine and I felt something take over.

<3rd PoV> Not going to mention Judai's match vs the chief

There was a sudden dark shine coming from the Fortune Alter, when the guards and the Grave keeper Priest reached the Alter; there was a grey haired child with her hand on the crystal. "Unhand our sacred item you intruder!" the Priest yell, but was ignored as the crystal shined again and shrink into a smaller object, landing in the girl's hand. "Return our sacred item!" the guards yelled as the intruder finally turned to them, staring down at them with reddish orange eyes.
