Flashback five years ago...
"Ate Nika, hintayin niyo 'ko!!" I said while trying my very best to catch up with them. "Bilisan mo kase.. paalis na 'tong tricy e." She responded.
I'm Sophie Laurice Monteclara. An average 'probinsyana' girl who literally loves taking pictures, dressing up like a barbie, and most of all a wanderer at its best.
Yes, it's true. I'm rich. My family have lots of private islands, cars, a business empire proprietary and my mom owns a famous fashion company. A perfect fairytale life for a girl treated like a princess you may describe but that's just so not me!
I simply describe myself as a traveler, blogger and a fashionista. Well, even though I treat myself simple, I'm still in love with those designer dresses, shoes, and bags. I'm a fashion guru in my own way.
"Oo na. Sige na. Hintay lang" I fired back. "Kailan nga pala 'tong contest na pinapractice natin?" I asked out of nowhere. "Next month na." Ate Nika answered.
After 15 minutes of ride, nakarating na kami sa isang Grade School kung saan kami magpapractice.
"First timer tayong lahat noh? Gahh!" Ate Judy Ann exclaimed. "Hay nako! Pumasok na kaya tayo. Excited na rin ako e. Haha!" Sabi naman ni Kuya Neil.
Fast forward a bit..
Pinapakilala na kami ni Ma'am Cleof sa mga kagrupo namin. 'Tong dance group kase namin e binubuo ng dalawang magkaibang schools. Ang Tatum Elementary School na kung saan ako nag-aaral at Lunatic Central School na kung saan kami magpapractice ngayon. Medyo naiinis lang ako sa mga apat na 'to. Kala mo kung sinong mga kagandahan. Tss!
"Ok, so tatawagin kang mga pangalan ng magkakapartner ha" saad ni Ma'am Cleof.
"Nika at Vonn"
"Neil at Angelin"
"Sophie at Joshua"
"Judy Ann at Allan"
"Trixie at Chris"
"Ferlyn at Dave"
"Princess at Prince"

So, ayun na nga! Partner ko yung gwapong nilalang na nasa harap ko... Love at first sight ba kapag ganun?? Haha.. basta ganun na yun!
"Hi :D" sabi ni kuyang gwapo. "Hello :)" I responded with my genuine smile. "I'm Andrew Joshua Lopez. What's your name?" He asked. Ohh, so Andrew Joshua pala.. okerr, I'll call him Josh. "I'm Sophie Laurice. :)" I responded.
Tinuro na ni Ma'am Cleof ang steps. "5, 4, 3, 2, and 1." She said. "Ok, from the top everyone!" Ma'am Cleof exclaimed. "Ughh. Ma'am naman e" banat namin sa kanya. " Ok, pahinga muna kayo." She said with a sigh.
Umupo kamin nina Ate Nika sa mga bench sa gilid. "Ok, attention please." Sabi ulit ni Ma'am Cleof. "Joshua, naki try out ka pala sa badminton at nakuha ka?" She asked. "Yes ma'am. Nakuha rin po ako." Josh replied. "So anong pipiliin mo badminton or 'tong dance competition? Kase hindi mo pwedeng pagsabayin yung dalawa." Ma'am Cleof reminded him. "Well, badminton na lang ma'am since matagal ko nang gustong matry ito" he said.
Ahh! Badminton pala kinuha niya.-- wait whatt??? Badminton yung pinili niya? Paano na ako? Paano na yung forever namin? Nooo!!
"So, Sophie magrecruit na lang tayo ulit ng partner mo" ma'am Cleof said. "Ok po" I responded with dismay. ughh. Why? Unfair naman yun..
