My sunshine [flowerfell fanfiction]

Chapter 2: The Journey Begins

I carry Flowey on a pot and we begin our journey

"Okay, there's somethings that I need to explain"

While Flowey is explaining, I kept walking

"I've spend my time around here to see something other than waiting for someone to fell. Then one day ..."

I stopped and gaze up

"I found this gate, the gate to the ruins"

It's a gateway with 2 columns and theres a sign on top of it

"What is that sign?" I asked

"Oh! That's the sign of our kingdom, the delta rune"

I gaze upon it for a minute

Thinking that the sign must have a meaning of itself

"Once, I ever saw a lady from the shadow"

He said suddenly, I looked at him whilst he tells the story

"She had a big round yellow eyes that glows in the dark, and she always came here to check if there's any fallen child"

"For what?"

"To be killed" he said coldly

A shiver came down through my spine ... When I heard the word 'killed'

"You see the other side there?" He pointed on something behind me

I turned my head. It's a gate with the same structure.

"She came out from there, then she enter this gate" he checked around if there's any sign of the thing

"Let's get in before she came out!" Whispers Flowey

I nodded and enter the gate without making any sound of my step

As we get inside, pile of leaves and stairs are shown. The room is colored purple and there's a door to the next room.

"Careful, sometimes monsters may attack you but do not worry. Just try talk to —"

Before Flowey could finish his sentence a monster attacked us!

"It's Froggit! Quick! Talk to him! Give him a compliment!" Flowey commanded

I have no idea what to say but I gave a compliment to Froggit. He seems satisfied and blushed a bit

"He doesn't want to fight you anymore, now give him 'mercy'!"

And I did as Flowey said, the frog left us and we won. Luckily he didn't attack us.

We keep walking on the track, fighting monsters and solving puzzles in the ruins

Until we say a house at the end of the road, it must be the monster-lady house's

Curiosity take control over me, so I inspect the house, I found the front door is opened

Suddenly ...

"Hello, my child, welcome, come in" a soft voice came out from the opened door

I hold Flowey's pot tighter as I enter the house

"It's — dark in here .... And smells like—"

"Butterscotch cinnamon pie!"

Flowey alerted me to run, the Lady is right behind my heels and try to catch us

I kept running until I found a same gate but it's a dead end. Now we're trapped

The face of the lady starts revealing as the light of the room shines behind her

She sneak her hands behind her back and take out a knife

"Toriel! Stop this madness!" Flowey shouted

I tried to talk to her but she doesn't even care, I filled with fear and despair. Will this be the end?

She start attacking with magic fire and try to throw her knives at me, but it misses me

I kept trying, trying, and trying until then she listen to me

She aimed her magic fire ball at me and hits me. My health lowered to 1 HOPE [ as they call it Hp].

I can't do anything else, I have no strength left

"Y-you don't have to do this" I said softly and try to stand straight, but my legs are trembling so I fell

"I know there's something good inside you" tears flowing down through my cheeks with no reason

She dropped her knive and kneel down

That sentence made her cry really loud, I stepped closer to calm her down

"Frisk! What are you doing?" Flowey whispers loudly

I didn't mind him and getting closer to her

"You have kindness, I know you had that"

My arms open widely and I pressed my body against her, I patted her back and she calmed down at last

Flowey is surprised by how I handle the lady, I mean Toriel. Yes, that's her real name

She hugged me back and we stay still for a few minutes, then we parted away

We look into each others eye's, her eyes shows her reflection, caring and kindness, full of love ...

"Thank you my child" she said softly

But suddenly I feel somethings tickles me, a buttercup pops out of my hand, it sticks to it. What happen to me?

Toriel, too, covered with flowers, but all of her body is covered.

"Thank you for telling me, goodbye my child, be good alright?"

Poof!

Then she vanished ...

Me and Flowey just stood in silence

"What just happened?" Flowey asked

I take a look at my hand which covered with the buttercups, am I going to be like Toriel? Am I going to vanish too?

"Let's get out of here before the other monster came"

I took Flowey and open the locked gate

It seems leading us to the end of the ruins ...

We walked and walked in silence then we reached the last gate of the ruins ...

We at each other first, then took a deep breath and open the gate ...

A white light shine and took our sight

A new place will be discovered
