This chapter's titled after this film I saw about people who reenact the Middle Ages and with two characters that fall in love. So there. Just random. :)))))

Chapter 7 - ALL’S FAIRE IN LOVE
September 13, 1499.
WHAM! A loud flash of light scared away a curious pronghorn chewing grass. [A/N: There's a pic of a pronghorn in Chapter 5, in case you guys don't know what it is]
Zenzu kept his eyes on the ground until his vision stopped shaking. “Time travel sucks!” he whined.
The fifteen year old looked around. In front of him was the great open grassland bathed in the light of the sun while behind him was a wall of palm trees hiding under the shadow of a mountain. On the grassland, the sky was clear and peaceful. But in the forest, dark clouds hung above. The sight made him feel like he was on a magical gateway between two worlds.
“Cool, right?” the janitor said, appearing close to him. He immediately turned his attention to Zenzu. “Now that we’re here, we’ll wait for Alaya.”
“Wait for her?” Zenzu reacted. “She doesn’t know we’re here!”
The janitor had a clever smile on his face. “Don’t worry. She’ll know in three, two…”
An unearthly roar shattered the silence. Birds flew away. Small critters that had been hiding in the silence scuttled to the safer grasslands. Chills ran down Zenzu’s spine. He could feel the monster’s every step. It was enormous.
Then, the ugliest head in the universe peered out of the brush. It looked like a horse with lion’s teeth and enormous warts under its jaw. Its cheeks were stretched away from its face in an ugly fashion. Zenzu pinched his nose as the rotting breath of the creature tried to infiltrate his nostrils.
“What’s that?” Zenzu asked with a trembling voice.
“Entelodonts,” the janitor answered, “or, informally, killer pigs of death.” [A/N: If you're having trouble picturing out an Entelodont, I've posted a pic to the right. :D And yes. This thing did exist in real life.]
The entelodont opened its gruesome jaws and roared with a voice so strong that it shook the leaves of the palm tree beside it. Zenzu kicked a brick of earth out of the ground and thrust it into the creature’s mouth. Then, he released an earthen bat made with the bedrock under his feet.
Already mad, the entelodont stepped out of the brush. Its body was like a pig’s, a pig bigger than a rhino. A proud dark mane covered its tall shoulders. The entelodont towered over Zenzu, who was barely higher than its head.
With power from its legs, the creature jumped and slammed its snout at the ground. A huge column of earth rose up, hit Zenzu in the belly and threw him ten meters back.
It’s an earth-jorean!?
Zenzu hit the ground hard. He tumbled further and further away from the palm forest. When the fifteen year old stood up, he spat out a mouthful of earth that tasted like feces and brushed off dust trapped in his already rowdy ponytail.
“Oh my-” Just when he thought it was over, three cannonballs of earth launched out of nowhere. Zenzu raised his palms and stopped the projectiles in mid-air. The strain on his muscles was enormous. He closed his fists. Immediately, the cannonballs shattered into deadly shards of rock. With one great push, he threw them back at the entelodont.
