I was at one of the many celebrations that court threw. I laughed as Charles was retelling a funny story.

"Your Grace." my Lady Sophia muttered. I turned to her and she whispered in my ear. "There is a man that has been gazing at your more than a appropriate time." I raised an eyebrow I looked around and found the said man she was talking about. He had golden locks and mysterious demeanour. I was curious.

"Please excuse me Charles." I made my way over to the gentleman in question.

"Your Grace." he bowed

"My Lord." I curtsied. "Do we know each other?" I asked

"I was a friend of your late father. On his deathbed i made a promise to him, that I would watch over you." I laughed

"Did I say something amusing?"

"My father disowned me the day i became the Kings official mistress. I know so because he called me a common whore. So tell me Lord..."

"Niklaus. But please call me Klaus"

"Klaus, what is your true purpose."

"You have me. I was in court visiting my brother, when I noticed you."

"Really and who is your brother."

"Nik, there you are." I smiled hearing a familiar voice.

"Lord Kol." I turned to him

"Your Grace, radiant as ever. I see you met my brother."

"Yes I have. And if he's your brother then he is also one of you." I smirked and Klaus raised an eyebrow

"You have informed a human."

"She caught me. I tried to compel her but it didn't work."

"I am right here, and yes I do know what you are. But be at ease I have not nor will I ever tell. I've known for some time now."

"Lady Eliza." I turned towards Henry. "May i have this dance"

"Yes, of course."

"My Lords."

I groaned as my fever took hold. I had been ill these past five days . It took me after I gave birth to my daughter Annalise . I took with childbed fever. I heard the door open and I turned my head slightly and saw Klaus.

"Klaus." I wheezed

"Dearest Eliza. What happened."

"The best way to die, is by giving life."

"But living is so much better." He bit into his wrist and fed me his blood I tried to reject but I ended up swallowing.

"Klaus, it is my time." I breathed my last breath

I took a large intake of breath and sat upright

"Wh- what happened."

"You died with my blood in you. You're in transition."

"No, Klaus!"

"Elizabetta, you were about to leave your children, without a mother, that is the most undignified way to grow up." I sighed and looked down, I never thought of it. Leaving Arthur and Anna. How could I think of doing that to my children.

"My apologies, Klaus. Not every receives a gift of a second life." I looked out the window

"How could i be so selfish as to leave my children. This can be a cruel world and even with their father they can never be fully protected. " I thought to Henry and how he would feel. Arthur losing his mother and Annalise growing up never knowing."

"I will help you through it. Till you gain control."

"Thank you Klaus." I heard little screams and i gasped

"No, Eliza."

"I have to see her."

"Feed first." I looks at him and nodded he brought a maid in and I drank from her. Klaus pulled away and I snarled at him.

"If you wish to stay you must not draw attention." he healed her and compelled her.

"I want to see her. I want to see my daughter." He sighed

"Calm yourself first. Push the hunger back." i concentrated and opened my eyes.

"Very good, your picking it up well."

"My Lady, His Eminence Cardinal Wolsey is here." I nodded

"Please be hidden. Wolsey is slippery and would love to inform Henry of you. He dislikes me. " Klaus nodded and disappeared. I sat up in bed and Wolsey entered.

"Your, Grace." he bowed

"Your Eminence."

"I was told that Your Grace, had fallen ill after a difficult birth."

"I did but a... healer with...special remedies, cured me." My daughter was brought in and I smiled but i breathed in and the blood got to me .

"Klaus, the blood."

"Breath push the hunger away. I closed my eyes and rubbed my face.

"Is everything well, my Lady."

"Yes, perfectly well." I smiled and took my little girl.

"I shall inform his majesty, of this...situation."

"Your Eminence, His Majesty already has our son. Our daughter is mine." I looked down at the little girl wriggling "And she is perfect."

"Yes, well." he bowed once again and left. Klaus came out of the shadows as i continued to look down at my daughter.

"My dearest Anna, never shall you worry because I will strike anyone down, who sees to harm you and I will avenge the will of our family. Always and Forever."

"I had this made for you." I looked up towards him. He held a ring a daylight ring.

"A daylight ring." I held my hand out, he slid the ring to plant it firmly on my finger.

"I will reside nearby, till you have gained control and are ready to return to court."

"Thank you Klaus. I know no why you help me. But i want you to know that. I am so very grateful."

"Well, I knew there was something different about you when we first met." He smirked

"Well from what Kol informed me, that you're not exactly the nicest brother."

"I'm not I'm a ruthless killer, but I have my moments." He left and I stared at the spot where he once was before looking back to my daughter.
