Dead Love || Uchiha Itachi

With What Was Left

Everyone was fighting for their lives while Namikaze Minako stood behind the enemy, watching him control all the people she knew against their own loved ones. She was unable to do anything but stand her ground, under his control.

"Why am I here?" She asked over and over again.

"You're an important pawn in this game, Miss Minako. I'll be keeping you for last." Kabuto smiled before continuing his game.

When Itachi had been revived, he never imagined having to fight Naruto or having to use his on jutsu on himself. The first thing that came to his mind after he gained control, was if she was also revived.

And he was proven correct when he stumbled into her while trying to stop Kabuto's jutsu.

Sasuke was just as shock as Itachi was. Rather, they were both amazed at how much she had changed.

Itachi was blushing madly as his lover glared at him.

"I leave the village to you, tell you not to die, for my sake! And you're here! Resurrected!" Suddenly gaining control of her body, she marched over to the shocked Itachi and flicked his forehead, starting to lecture him in front of Kabuto and Sasuke who watched, confused.

Itachi was pouting, Sasuke stared in shock. He had never seen that side of his brother before, or maybe he didn't remember. Itachi started lecturing her back from letting Deidara 'accidentally' killing her.

"I bet you right now if I fight Deidara, actually fight him, I would beat the living soul out of him!" Minako pointed out, pissed.

Itachi glared at her before sighing, his mouth twitched into a soft smile, and he flicked her forehead, pulling her into a warm embrace.

Sasuke watched, his eyes twitching. She didn't even notice him. He wanted to be the one hugging her. Oh he never got over his little crush. He still remember the words she told him that day.

Don't forget me.

"You know," she whispered, "mine is still yours. It always has been."

"And mine has always been yours from the very start. Even now, even after death, I'm so in love with you, Minako." Itachi pushed her away from the embrace softly to stare at her.

She was staring at him, smiling softly, tears rolling down her cheeks. The same went to Itachi. And Sasuke was shocked.

"Enough with the reunion! How can you control yourself!?" Kabuto was already ready for battle. Itachi pushed Minako to Sasuke and stared at his brother.

"Protect her."

And Itachi went into action. Minako watched, wanting to join the fight, but Sasuke held her arms tight.

She looked up to stare at the now grown up boy who was staring at her too.

"Nice to see you too, Sasuke." Minako sighed and smiled.

Sasuke blushed and looked away.

"Y- yeah." The two watched Itachi win in silence and Minako hurriedly ran over to the Edo Tensei.

"Itachi, you idiot!" She pushed him playfully and caressed his cheeks.

"Now look what you've done." She pouted and flicked his forehead.

"It's fine. I'm already dead anyways, these eyes have been used for a good cause now." Minako sighed at his response and watched Sasuke approaching them.

"Hey, I never knew how you... how you died." Minako looked up into Itachi's soft eyes and squeezed his hands.

Sasuke stopped in his tracks and looked away.

Itachi chuckled.

"Well, only the most talented brother and a terminal illness from losing you." Itachi smiled and squeezed her hand back.

Minako glanced at Sasuke who was looking at her with remorse.

"... Sasuke?" She whispered barely audible. And she sighed, walking over to him.

"You are one big idiot." And she raised her hand to his face, he closed his eyes, ready for the slap.

But instead, she used it to cup his cheeks while she pecked it. His eyes widened and he turned to stare at her who smirked at him.

"Wasn't expecting that, were you?" She whispered before walking back to the frowning Itachi.

"Wait!" Sasuke shouted back to her.

"Minako. I'm in love with you." Sasuke stated awkwardly while the two Edo Tensei watched. Itachi held back his laughter at his brother's awkward confession and Minako blushed.

"T- thank you, but I'm already dead so you should fine someone ummm, someone alive." Minako scratched her head, blushing.

Everything that was happening was amusing to Itachi.

"If you weren't dead, would you have given me a chance?" Sasuke was walking towards her. She stared at him and smiled.

"I probably would have." And he stopped in his tracks to smirk in victory.

She laughed and Itachi was frowning.

"You would have?" He whispered.

"You aren't the only attractive one in the family, you know." She whispered back, giggling.

"Just kidding." She laughed when his face was filled with horror.

After a while, Itachi had finally released everyone of Edo Tensei, but Minako wasn't about to leave just yet.

She smiled at Itachi.

"Sorry, but I still have business. I need to be a hand to my brother in his time of need. Especially since I was never in his life. He needs support." Then Minako had summoned herself back using a jutsu she had found while living at the orphanage.

Itachi smiled back softly.

"Then I'll stay too." Sasuke watched the exchange, his eyes gaining back the innocence of when he was younger.

Minako smiled.

It was time to go help her beloved brother.
