Me and my friend decided it would be fun to buy superhero shirts and walk around kroger in them while buying food. So I'm in my Superman shirt with cape attached and she's in her batman shirt with matching yellow cape.
We walk around with our cart grabbing whatever crap we want and putting it in. As we walk down the isles we have two or three people total actually complement on our attire (like you should). Recognizing the awesomeness that is Superman and Batman. But othere people stare at us for a couple seconds and once behind us start talking about our capes or how weird we are. Now let me clarify that just because we can't see you doesn't ean we can't hear you. And when we hear the word cape in your conversations it's obvious you're talking about us. WE'RE NOT STUPID!
So eventually after like the third person who does it I turn around a little over 5 feet away from them and talk to the imaginary friend I have beside me about how stupid they look. I keep following them for a little bit and turn back to my friend who is looking mortified at me while I have I giant grin on my face.
It happened again and my friend said loud enough for the people to hear. "Superheroes have no respect these days!"
Point is, if you see people in amazing attire, please compliment them. We know we look awesome, but it's nice to know other people think the same thing.
