Hello amazing readers!! So guess what.... there is a surprise in this chapter, but there is no cookies this time. Sorry......

"Landon, come on!" I yelled through his apartment. He was taking me out to this club with some friends from work, and I really didn't want to go, but he talked me into it. I pulled at my short silver dress. It was long sleeved, but was pretty short. It came to above my mid-thigh.

Landon hasn't seen it yet, and that was a good thing. He would make me go change, but this was my last chance for him to see me more than a "little sister." I was not a helpless little girl that needed saving everytime a guy talk to her, I would not change even if he tried to talk me into it. Plus we were so late that he couldn't make me change now.

"Stop yelling," Landon ordered looking in a mirror fixing his hair one last time. My mouth dropped open as I took in the clothes he was wearing. He had a dark purpled button up shirt on with the sleeves rolled to his elbows. Landon had on a black vest that buttoned right in front of his abdomen, and showed what he had under that area. His dark wash jeans complimented his toned legs, and the shirt he had on. He had on a pair of black Converse that matched his outfit perfectly. His hair had been gelled, but kept a messy look.

I involuntarily gasped at how hot he looked. Tonight I really hoped we would both get drunk so I could jump him, or the other way around. I mentally slapped myself for thinking that, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Landon.

"You know," he said suddenly in front of me, "this dress could give a guy the wrong ideas." I gasped at how close he was. The smirk on his face seemed to be holding a secret plan. I'd be damned if he wasn't planning on getting drunk already. He was only this carefree if he was going to get drunk, he'd usually be screaming at me to change and lecture me how "inappropriate" the dress was. As if I was his 15-year-old daughter, not a grown woman who was also his co-worker.

Oi, that meant I couldn't drink. Someone was going to have to get Landon back home, and look after Jackson while he slept off a hangover. A sigh came out of my lips before I could stop it. It was one of those 'I know I have work tomorrow' sighs. His smirk immediately turned into a frown.

He grabbed my hand with the same frown on, and walked to the door pulling me out into the hallway. He was speed walking all the way down the street to where the entrance of the subway. I hated the subway with a passion! Landon didn't notice my dusgust because he had been patting his thigh with his thumb while he walked, and, I don't know if he knows this, but that is a give away sign that he is keeping something secret.

I grudgingly walked down the stairs of the subway. Once we made it to the platform I noticed the reason why I hated subways: the trash. It was everywhere, and I began to curse myself for not bringing my hand sanitizer with me. I was lucky that the subway was coming down the rails just as we came to a stop behind a bunch of people. He didn't seem to catch that I was taking notice when he would glance down at my legs whenever I would look away.

He dragged me into the train, and wrapped his arm around my waist so as not to lose me. There was no small talk going on over the whine of the train contricting against the track. Landon's arm was still resting on my waist, and his back was pressed against my back.

When we finally arrived to the platform we were getting off at, he kept my hand in his as we ran up the stairs. I shivered against the wind's onslaught. I wished I had thought to grab a jacket before Landon and I had left the apartment.

Landon was looking giving me a strange look before it dawned on him that I was shivering. I was looking at him gratefully as he shrugged out of the jacket he had on/ Landon turned to me holding one of his black dress suit jacket. A small smile slid onto my face as I put the jacket on. The smell of his musky scent washed over me, and I inhaled deeply. Slipping deeper into it's embrace.
