He never looked happy he'd crack a smile every once in a while, no one knows the real pain he feels... They just think he's shy, but he's much much more then shy. He walks the hall with his black hoodie covering his messy teal hair, he speaks very little for words but when he does listen close cause they're quite but they tell you about him. His headphones are loud no one thinks he seems to care... He never takes his hoodie off... They say he use to be the happiest kid in school but then 9th grade hit and everything changed... He sits alone and everyone will stare, he is the quite one... That nobody can hear... But he has once said "quite is violent"

Ashton's POV

It was my second day at a new school... I've already made a few friends, Calum Hood and Luke Hemmings. They're pretty cool.

I sat down in the lunch room next to Calum as Luke was flirting with some girl... "Hey Ashton," Calum smiled "anything new?" He asked.

"Not really," I shrugged "how about you?"

"About the same" he chuckled. Luke came over smirking.

"Hey guys" he smiled

I ignored him seeing that boy in the corner of the lunch room all by himself? It was weird... If it was me I'd find someone to sit with. "Hey Calum...?" I paused waiting for a response not taking my eyes off the boy. You could faintly see his hair was a greenish shade I liked it.

"What's up?" He asked

"That boy," I pointed over to him, "tell me about him." I stated.

"Him?" Luke and Calum both questioned pointing to the green haired boy, I nodded.

"That's Michael Clifford..." Luke made a face of disgust.

"There's not much we can tell you, we don't know that much" Calum shrugged

"Tell me what you do know." I told them

"Okay, Calum you know more then me so yo-" Calum cut Luke off, "like we said his name is Michael Clifford, he's a quite kid... Doesn't speak up and people say that he's a mute but he's spoken before, he lives with his dad that's it just him, that hoodie doesn't leave his back...," he looked at me and continued, "very skittish, nervous doesn't ever do his work. Nobody bothers to sit with him cause he won't talk-" after that last sentence I stood up and took my tray over to the boy.

"Ashton what are you doing?!?" I ignored Calum, and sat next to the boy named Michael.

He looked up and darted his head down immediately he started shaking and he wouldn't look up. "I'm Ashton" I smiled widely, I don't think he cared who I was... "I saw you were alone and had no lunch..." I trailed off he still didn't look up? "I have some cheetos if you want them," I gave the boy my bag of cheetos but he just stared at them? No care in the world.

He pushed the bag towards me but it fell off the table. I frowned, "so you're name is Michael...?" I asked, he looked up. His eyes were a dull color, his pink lips formed a frown, the makeup on his face that you could clearly see was washing away little by little. But he nodded slowly which made me smile, I was making a bit of progress with him.

"Nice to meet you Michael." I smiled hoping he'd respond, but sadly he didnt. He just sat there and scratched his arms with his sleeve covering it.

~later that day~

It was finally gym class one of my favorites. I got changed in the locker room and ran out to the gym.

"Okay guys! Today is a freeday!" Our gym teacher yelled and a crowd of teens cheered and spread out doing their own thing.
