Reese jumped out of the tree. I jumped expecting to hit hard ground, but instead felt Reese catch me. He set me down on the ground. "Sorry, it's just you look so skinny . I felt you would get hurt if you landed." Again, I nod. "We didn't have much food at home. We would only eat once a day. I only ate half of my food and gave the rest to Quinn." I explain. He nods and motions for me to walk with him. Laurel came running down the hall. "Reese! Lexi wants to talk to you!" She says. Reese gives me an apollogetic smile and waves to me. Laurel and I watch him walk. Laurel turns to me. I noticed that she was wearing a sleeveless white shirt with a bright pink skirt. She was wearing a oversized denim jacket, so I knew it belonged to one of the boys. She smiles at me. "Hi.". I smile back. "Um hi.". She smooths out her skirt. "I need to give you some better clothes to wear. If you're going to live here then you might want to wear different outfits. Not just the same one." She walks to her room. I follow her. She opens her closet. "Uncle Bull is very rich. I told him I wanted outfits for when I was older. Plus you're not that different than me. Only slightly taller.". She hands me a sleeved black shirt and a white skirt. "You'll look good in that." She hands me some black tights. I go to change and look at myself in the mirror. You look pretty. She smiles at me. "You look amazing." I turn to her. "Not as amazing as you." I bop her nose and she giggles. She does my makeup and my hair. "Your hair looks amazing just the way it is. But here, I made this hat called a beanie. It's cute and will make you look wonderful." I put it on. "You're really nice." I say to her. "Us girls have to stick together, different colors or not." She was right. Girls should stick together, different colors or not.
