Danny looked out of the Fenton Assault Vehicle's window. It had already been a couple of days in the RV, and Danny was sure he'd lose it (for real this time. Not like the Youngblood adventure) if he stayed cooped up much longer. They had left for the road trip a little after a month school ended. And now Danny almost wished to be back. Almost.

A yell pulled Danny out of his thoughts. "Danny!" said his mother. "Can you check the map for your father?"

"We don't need a map!" Jack boomed from the driver's seat. "We're on course!"

Danny check the map anyways. "We're five miles off course," he retorted. "Uh, quick question, why aren't we using a GPS?"

"The thing's broken," said Jack. He patted the GPS, which made a buzzing noise and spat sparks. "But we don't need it. We have the ole, reliable human brain." The RV swerved suddenly. "There! We're back on track!" Another swerve.

"With Dad's driving skills, we'll get there in half the time," Danny muttered sarcastically.

"'Gravity Falls, Oregon: Ten Miles,'" Maddie read. "Maybe we can stop there for a bit."

"You mean, like, get out of the RV for a week or two?" Danny asked hopefully.

"Sure, sweetie!" Maddie smiled.

"We can see if this town is haunted!" Jack yelled. "I sure hope it's better than the last town."

Danny frowned as he remembered the three-hour stay in some remote town.

'FOR THE LAST TIME, OUR TOWN ISN'T HAUNTED!' The mayor shouted.

'You know what, let's get back in the RV . . . ," Jazz said with a nervous smile.

'AND STAY OUT!' The mayor yelled as the RV drove away.

"Yeah, I hope, too, Dad." Danny shuddered at the flashback. That experience wasn't too fun. Then he added quietly, "I hope this town isn't ghostly at all . . ."

Maddie was staring out the window, commenting at all the trees. "You see, kids? You don't get stuff like this back in Amity Park!"

Jazz smiled. "Mom has a point. It's pretty cool."

Danny raised an eyebrow. "It will be if I get to relax."

Jazz rolled her eyes and whispered, "I don't think that there will be a reason to go ghost here. It's seems to . . . peaceful. And we haven't made it to the town yet."

Danny sighed. "Exactly," he whispered back. "It's peaceful out here, but . . ."

Jazz frowned. "You know what?" she whispered. "Even if this town's a little crazy, don't go ghost. This is supposed to be a relaxing, ghost-free vacation."

Danny snorted. "Knowing my luck, that's a no."

Jazz rolled her eyes, but she smiled.

Soon they made it into town, and Danny looked out of the RV window. It was small; everyone must know everyone. But no one was giving the RV strange looks. It must be a tourist town, so stuff like this must've been usual. Then again, the RV wasn't exactly natural. But no one paid attention to them.

"'Mystery Shack: Mystery, Thrills, Amazement?'" Jazz wondered, pointing to a wooden sign.

"Let's go check it out!" Maddie suggested.

Danny groaned. This vacation is going to be the death of me. Well, half-death, anyways.

Sunlight hit Dipper's face, and his eyes flickered open. He yawned and rolled over, then decided to get up. He stood , and Dipper glanced at the mirror. His hair was messy, and there were noticeable bags under his eyes. Weird. I'm pretty sure I slept well . . . He shook the thoughts out of his head.
