Brendalynn's POV
Moving to Manhattan, New York is a big step. Even after graduating High school. Me and Chole Evans are moving into an apartment there.
Finally, done packing up boxes, I call Chole.
"Hey, Bre! What's up?"
"Hey Chol! Are you done packing? We need to ship them today!"
"Yeah, I am. Do we take them to the airport when we go?"
"Yeah, we need to leave in 10 minutes! Love u!!"
"Love u, too!!"
I hung up. Man, I love her. Just moving to New York is exciting. Riding the subways, going to Central Park, going to NYU. I just can't wait.----
Once, we got at the airport, we put the boxes on a thingy. Don't ask me what it is because truly, I wouldn't know. And we put our suitcases on the spinning thing and went to our flight.
"I can't wait, Bre!"Chloe said with cheer. She is the more cheerful one of the pair. I'm more plain one. She is more protective. I'm not lying. She makes her points and has always been better at school then me. I'm fine with that.
"I know, Chloe. Just chill, would you?"I said too calmly.
"Chill! Chill! How can I chill when we are going to New York! The New York!"
"Your being melodramati, Chloe. Seriously, let's just get on the plane."
I laid back and put on my headphones.
Alright, alright
Alright, alright
Alright, alright, it's a hell of a feeling though
It's a hell of a feeling though
Alright, alright, it's a hell of a feeling though
It's a hell of a feeling thoughWho are these people?
I just woke up in my underwear
No liquor left on the shelf
I should probably introduce myself
You shoulda seen what I wore
I had a cane and a party hat
I was the king of this hologram
Where there's no such thing as getting out of hand
Memories tend to just pop up
Drunk pre-meds and some rubber gloves
Five-thousand people with designer drugs
Don't think I'll ever get enough
(Don't think I'll ever get enough!)Champagne, cocaine, gasoline
And most things in between
I roam the city in a shopping cart
A pack of camels and a smoke alarm"BRENDALYNN, THEY CALLED OUR FLIGHT NUMBER! WE HAVE TO GO NOW!"Chloe shouted. I grabbed my carry on and pulled my headphones down and me and her walked to gate 3.
Gate 1
Gate 2
Gate 3
Yes, finally. We got up to the counter and handed the lady our tickets. I looked to my left and see Chloe with a big smile. This is really happening. Going to New York. The New York. When we got to our seats, I opened the tray from the seat in front of me and put my laptop on it. I plugged my headphones in and play Panic at the disco's new album. I looked at Chloe one more time. She was happy. She had her phone and took some pictures. She grabbed my neck and slung her arm around it and took a picture. Her smile grew. To New York, we go.
----
The rest of the flight, I just sleep. But Chloe just talked to strangers and took pictures. Getting off the plane was real. We actually made it. New York. I'm starting to sound like Chloe. We headed to the spinning thingy to get our suitcases. We waited an hour for both of our suitcases to come by. We went straight outside and called a cab. Let me just say, it's hard to call a cab. I gave him the address to our new apartment. It was located in Manhattan. Close to Central Park and other things. When we reached our destination, we look at our apartment building. Paper Factory Apartments. Weird name but cool place. We got to the elevator and pressed number 5.
----
Our apartment was a good size. Ok, great size. Chloe ran off to her bedroom. Probably to design it. I wanted to go to the kitchen. My domain. I went through the living room and the breakfast nook into the kitchen. It was a decent size for a apartment kitchen. We couldn't afford anything fancy. I walked back into the living room and put down my suitcase and carry on. Chloe came running into the room a minute later yelling:
"Do you have a pen?!?! Please, I need a pen!"
I grabbed a pen out of my purse and have it to her. She snatched it from me and started drawing on a piece of paper.
"What's that for Chlo?"
"I'm gonna design my room. Want me to do yours?"
"Oh no, I'm good, Chlo."
----
It took me about an hour to put everything i had in my suitcase away in its place. The boxes won't come till Tuesday. I had my blanket, pillow, some clothes and shoes, phone and laptop. I grabbed my laptop and sat in my bed. I put my headphones on and listened to Alternative music. The door open suddenly and a sleep deprived Chloe stood in the frame.
"Chloe, I think you should go to sleep. You look tired."
"I'm fine, Bre. Really I am."she said. She tried not closing her eyes but that didn't work out well. I quickly ran to her and helped her go into her room. I put her down on her bed and pulled the covers over her and closed the door. I hopped into bed and did the same thing.
----
"Brendalynn, wake up!"yelled a Hungry Chloe. She stood in the door frame again. She tapped her foot over and over again.
"What do you want, Chloe? It's too early in the morning!"
"Get up, Bre! We have things to do!"
"Like what, Chlo? Like what?"
"Shopping? Getting furniture? Stuff like that."
I knew that she wouldn't give up. She never does.
"Fine. Fine. We can but food. I'm going to run to the store and get some."
