"Class dismissed."
And then the bell rang.
I suddenly woke up and realized I slept during Bio, again. How much more with Chemistry soon. My girl-friends beside me are fixing their things while I'm here, fixing my hair.
"what was the lesson about?" I asked dryly. I've been mindless for one week: sleeping in class, too dumb to forget doing my homework and researches.
"Nothing important, girlfriend. More on genetics and chromosomes. Good for you that you slept. It's too boring though," Enn said.
How I love my girl-friends. They support me to crazy things I did and I'll be doing. Anyway, Mr. Jordins teach Biology in a very for-the-intellegent way that it turns out boring instead of jazzing it up. Students would ignore his questions when he conduct oral participation, but part of me thinks he knows the reason why. Scientists aren't that naive, are they?
"How old is Jordins by the way?" Jay asked.
"Twenty-five?" I answered, doubtful. He's the youngest teacher in Danville High so far. Students somehow would have a crush on him, but thinking about his teaching strategy would discourage them. "Why? What are you thinking?"
"Twenty-five ain't so bad after all." Jay said.
"Don't ever tell us you have a thing for him." Enn commented in disbelief. I grin at her thinking the same thing.
"Seriously Jay, ew."
"It's not like that. Okay? Come on, we don't wanna be late, don't we?"
When the morning class ended, me and my girls went to the library. The library is the most silent place in the school. Simply because, none of the students would dare to go there. Which is a good thing for the three of us. We like to isolate ouselves rather than hang out with the bitches at the cafeteria, or gossip with the backstabbers at the ground, and specially not to flirt with the jocks. That is so not us.
Enn walked ahead of us, tried to check if anyone's inside the library. She looked back at us and raised her eyebrow, signalling for CLEAR. Jay followed me silently.
It is in the library where sometimes we eat our lunch, which is a big NO NO, but since no one wants to be here, even the librarian (who resigned yesterday), we're free to do it.
Three of us aren't geeks, though. We have other friends around the school too, but not that we learn to act the way the act as well. My mom used to tell me not to in take the bad vibes of liberated students. Ha! As if I'd love to, anyway.
I'm currently looking for books about Magic, Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ever sinced I finished the Harry Potter saga, I feel addicted to it. I get addicted to books I've read, I feel living with it. Which is so weird about me, I admit.
I end up pulling a book about Angels and Demons. Jay and Enn helped me to look further, irnoring the creepy book I have in hand. But we happen to hear footsteps approaching our beloved destination.
"Someon's coming!" I whispered-yell. So the three of us hid ourselves behind the shelves until we reach the back door. I don't think anyone else knew about this secret passage, aside from us.
We walked towards the school gate as if nothing happened. Then I realized, the book is still with me. Absurd!
"I heard we ain't suppose to be there. Lucky for us." Enn says.
"Why is the library off limit?" I asked.
"I dunno. I heard the new librarian doesn't want anyone inside the library, unless it's a research activity."
