Chapter FIVE

15 days after Zero encounter

We were driving down a road when we came across a pregnant woman. Kinda.......Weird.

"Hey Murphy, isn't that your pie girl?"

"Pie girl?" I say confused as I Change Colton diaper in my lap. I look to 10k who looked confused but then comes to realization.

10k says, "Pie girl." 10k says. It was the cutest thing I had ever heard. I was tempted to awe, but Colton's poop diaper was keeping smiles off of everyone's face.

Addy looks forward. "Serina?" She gets all excited and then Doc stops the car. Addy runs out and hugs her being careful of her stomach. They talk and all of the sudden 'Serina' gets frantic and approaches the car. She gets to the door that I am seated next to and starts speaking.

"Daddy? Is that daddy?" She says urgently running to the car door. She sees Murphy and then smiles seductively.

"Baby girl, Daddys here." I sort of just sink down in my seat trying to avoid the awkward situation. Colton was already changed so I held him close. She was looking at him and he sunk next to me, I look to him and he was rolling his eyes. "Talk to her!" I say. I sit properly, and then she sees me. "Hi, can you excuse me for a second? I need to stretch my legs, you can take my seat." I say smiling. She smiles back and I open the door. She hops on next to Murphy.

I get out and walk around with Colton, i tiny limp in my step. I was healing nicely.

10k approaches. "A while back Murphy had a fling with her and she got pregnant. That is where Addy stayed for a while." He says looking around. I nod and look at Colton and he is just looking around making cute little noises. I smile at him.

I notice 10k looking at him. "You can hold him you know."

I say to him. He smiles and holds his arms out I carefully set Colton in his arms and he plays with the baby, Coltons tiny fingers sometimes grabbing onto 10k's large calloused ones. I stretch my arms, back and legs, being careful of the wound moving my head around trying to get the crick out.

Once done I feel refreshed and I wAlk over. He looked awkward with the little baby and then he started crying.

10k hands me Colton simply stating he was done. Watching men with babies. It's hilarious. I chuckle at the thought. I bounce up and down holding him close to me and eventually he falls asleep.

I feel like going in the bed today, so I hand Colton to Doc, the designated baby holder when I'm not around. Plus, Serina was in my old seat. But I was ok I wanted to be back here.

I kneel down and grab a bunch of gravel, and medium sized rocks and load them into the sling bag and the hop into the back.

10k taps the roof and we are off. This time with another person.

"Remember your promise?" I tell him looking forward. He sighs and then groans.

"I thought you forgot" he said leaning his head back and closing his eyes. I chuckle.

"Nope." I said.

"Fine. I will tell you my name. William."

I look at him and see the lie right on his face. I elbow him.

"The truth." He smiles at me.

"You lied to." I feel my face pale. Dang he knows Sage isn't my name.

"How did you find out?"

He laughs. "I didn't. But now I do."

"Fine. We're even."
