After that I was quiet for a few days. We get to a town and I go my own way. I haven't gone with anybody, and I didn't want to, they where going through something and I had no room to interfere.

I get to a store, and I walk in looking for food, what was assigned to me

As I was walking by the baby isle, an isle I didn't need anything from, I heard a cry.

I stop in my tracks and put a confused look on. Can't be a baby. So I shake my head and keep walking, when I hear the cry a second time. There is defiantly something in that isle. Maybe a zombie stepping on a baby toy? But what baby toys cry? Maybe baby alive- it then shake my head and creep back to the isle, and peer around the shelf. I see a Z, and it's grey fingers pushing into the cart holes, and then hear a baby start to bawl. I peer further and then my eyes widen. A baby. A real live baby. The cart was tipped over and up against the isle while the z was trying to get it, little by little the cart moving and inch form the zombie tugging at it.

I put down the Z from behind, the zombie who I now know was the mother, and take the baby out. I check inside the diaper. It was a boy. He had beautiful blue eyes, and fat cheeks. Every time he moved his mouth, tiny baby dimples showed through. He looked like he was hungry and I looked around for formula, and this isle was pretty much untouched. I opened up my bag, and grabbed a bottle if water and found a baby bottle. I poured in 4 ounces of water, and then 2 scoopes of the formula. I shake it up and pop the bottle in his mouth. It wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either, it was.....in the middle but not quite warm. He needs a name. Ian? No. He looks like a..... Colton. Colton Alexadre. A name I adored.

I grab a bunch of pacifiers, bottles, and all of the formula. I grab a bunch of clothes and blankets also a coat and stuff, everything I would need for a baby.

I leave and head for the car baby in my arms and I bolt for the car. I run and run and run and then a z comes, trying to take the baby. I kick it and keep running. I get to the truck and hide in the truck bed, I take my bag and lay the baby on. I pull out my sling, and bag of rocks and take out three of the zombie's that where coming and then take out the rest with my sword. I hear the baby crying and I jump back into the truck bed i carefully take the baby and feed it a bottle. I hear footsteps and i crouch and peek over the side and then stand up when I see it's just Warren I sit back.

"Warren? Can you come here? I have to talk to you."

She comes back and her eyes widen when she sees the baby.

"He's mine now the mother was dead. I named him Colton. If you dont want a baby on board I will leave but I would like to stay with you." I say looking at her. "As long as you take care of him, you can stay. But I don't want other people taking care of him unless they want to, or its a life or death situation." She says pointing to me. I nod my head and then she nods back walking away.

I pull him close and close my eyes leaning back.

After everybody comes back, Colton is asleep on my shoulder. And when 10k sees him, he just sits by me and stares at him i lay back and close my eyes once more.

"What's his name?" He asks quietly.

"Colton." I open my eyes and look at him. Colton looks like he was about to cry, but I put a pacifier in his mouth and he calms down. I'd say he is about 2 months old.

"Can I hold him?" He asks. I nod. I support his head and put him in 10k's arms. 10k looks at him and just smiles.

He hands me the baby and i ask Addy to hold him while I get a place for him to sleep. I get out a few blankets and lay them out I take him and lay him down on His stomach, popping a pacifier in his mouth. He settles and sighs happily. I put my bookbag down and lay on it next to Colton and I fall asleep.

I feel a shake on my shoulder. I wake up, 10k points to Colton and he is fussing a little. I pick him up and make a bottle. I place it in his mouth and he fusses but I keep it in and squeeze a little on his tongue and then he takes the bottle. He then makes a few satisfied noises and closes his eyes. Like all babies his age do. I smile. I then frown.

"Addy, do you think that this wind is good for the baby?" I ask concerned. She shakes her head. She stands up and taps the hood of the car. The car slows to a stop and we all jump out.

"What's the problem now?" Murphy asks annoyed, Cassandra crouched near him baring her teeth at us.

"Can one of you hold Colton in the car? I don't want him getting sick out here and babies this age shouldn't be that exposed."

Doc steps up. "I call the baby!" He hurries and takes him from my arms, I hand him his stuff and we are on the road again.
