When she finally let go of my hand, we were at the park. We walked silently for a few minutes. It wasn't awkward like you'd expect. It was a comfortable silence. After about five minutes, we took a seat on a bench. Then she just...looks at me.
"Hm?"
"Tell me everything." The way Ida said this gave me butterflies.
"You go first."
"Okay." And then she just poured all of her feelings out.
"I study really hard and sometimes I regret pushing people away because I only focus on my studies most of the time." " I've lost so many people because I don't know know anything but school."Then she just started crying. I don't know what to do because she is obviously stressed out and I am not going to be much help because she barely knows me. So I just decide to pat her back. Then she turns and pulls me into a tight hug.
"Sorry," she mumbles "I don't really have anyone to rant to so when someone does listen, I really appreciate it."
She holds me there for a minute or two but I don't mind. When she finally lets go, I can't help but look at her and blush. She scoots over to the opposite side of the bench as she takes a moment to compose herself. "Sorry." She whispers one last time.
