Pausing the blush on my cheeks, I question her again.
"Why did you storm out of the park?"
"I don't know."
"You can tell me anything. It's ok."
"I just..." She lets out a sigh and continues, "My parents aren't very accepting of...this." She slightly lifts our hands that I didn't realize were attached. "They would...well...I don't really know what they would do if they found out about us."
"Well, what do we do?"
"We keep us a secret from everyone."
"Okay." I say as she lets go of my hand.
"I'll talk to you later then." And without another word, she leaves me. Alone. Like I've been my whole life. My  parents never really did care all that much. They still don't. I have always been so cold towards everyone. It was different when I met Ida. It sounds cheesy but she changed me. She is the only person I've ever cared about. I don't want that to change. I don't want us to change. Please, don't let us change.
