Chapter 3

I opened my eyes and looked around. I was standing on the top of my old apartment building. I lookead to the edge of the roof and there was my brother.

"No James Don't!" I screamewd at him not to jump. Everything was moving so slow but so fast at the same time. I grabbed his t-shirt but he fought back.

"Let go Christian!" He screamed. He got me hand off his t'shrt when he slipped and fell off the roof. I looked over and saw him falling. I turned around, I didn't want to watch. Police swarmmed on the roof before I knew it i was being questioned. My brain didnt even seem to function. I just wanted to curl up in a ball and cry.

I gasped and opened my eyes. Thank god that was just a dream. I sat up and checked my phone for time. 9am. I got out of bed and ran downstairs. I popped two waffles into the toaster and sat down at the island. I took out my phone and looked at my notificationless screen. I unlocked my phone and went on twitter. I scrolled up and down my feed until my waffles were done. I grabbed a plate and a fork and knife. I took my waffles out and buttered them and grabbed the syrup and sat back down to eat them.

After I finished i put my plate in the sink and went back up stairs. I grabbed a red, black, and white flannel with a black tanktop and jeans and went to the shower. I took my time in the shower then changed. I walked back into mine and Kylies room and say Kylie grabbing stuff out of her drawers.

"Think you'll be ready in a half hour?" I asked.

"Yeah i will be." She said. She walked out to go take a shower. I blow dries and brushed my hair while she was in the shower. She came back in while I was putting my black vand on. I tied my shoes and then went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I went back to our room and grabbed my brown bag and threw it over my shoulder. I grabbed my wallet and tossed it in my bag along with my chapstick.

"You ready?" I asked Kylie, turning around to face her. She was wearing awhite shirt with pair of jeans rolled up and her galexy vans.

"Yup." She said throwing her brown bag with little frills on her shoulder. We ran downstairs and she told her mom we were going out. We went to the garage and grabbed out long boards. We jumped on and went down the street to this little shot that literally sells everything! I bought a deck of cards and all the lord of the rings movies to bring to Ashton. After that we got back on our boards and went all the to where Ashton was. After about 40 minutes of standing on long boards we finally got there.

"So here we are, the looney bin." Kylie said laughing. I just rolled my eyes and we walked in.

"Uhh we're here to see Ashton Irwin." I said to the lady at the desk.

"Okay, right this way." She said, and we walked back to the same room he was in the other day. The same buzz went off when she opened the door and we walked in. Ashton was sitting by the window again.

"Hi Ashton." I said. He looked up and smiled then Kylie walked in and she looked scared.

"This is Kylie. You know her. She goes to our school. I live with her now." I said. He nodded and I heard the lady lock the door again. I walked walked over to him and sat down.

"Kylie, this is Ashton. He's going through a lot, but hes really cool." I said. He looked down at his lap.

"Hi Ashton." Kylie said.

"Hi." Ashton said still looking down.

"I brought you some movies and a deck of cards." I said grabbing my bags.

"Oh what movies?" He asked exitedly.

"Your favorite 3." I said grabbing them and pulling them around.
