I woke up and Regina was sitting up on her side of the bed. "Good morning, beautiful." I mumbled, my voice still raspy from sleep. "More like good afternoon. And before we talk about anything else, you need to kiss me because your morning voice is absolutely hot." She said and turned to me. I smiled and sat up, kissing her passionately. "Mm. You're such a good kisser." She hummed. I smiled and laid back down. "Wait. You said afternoon?" I asked, confused. "Yes, love. It's 1 pm." She said, amused. I frowned. "Why didn't you wake me?" I asked. She smiled. "Because. We had a long night last night and you needed your rest." She said, smirking. I blushed and chuckled. Then, I saw she was grading papers. "You're doing work?" I asked and scrunched up my nose. "Only because you were asleep." She said and put them in a folder, then put the folder on her nightstand. I smiled and she looked at me, then raised an eyebrow. "You look beautiful." I said, happily. She blushed and smiled. Her hair is mussed up and she's wearing one of my baggy flannels. "Well, someone's just a sweetheart." She said and kissed me again. I smiled. The only thing covering me is the sheet. I pulled the comforter over me and Regina laughed. Today's January 2nd. "Hey.. Regina.. Can I talk to you about something?" I asked, quietly. "Of course, my love." She said, gently. "I uh.. Well.. Are you.. Like, my girlfriend? We've never really talked about it but I just want to know.." I mumbled, nervous. "Well, I never liked putting labels on things. But yes I am your girlfriend. I don't think we ever needed to have a label.. We just were." She said. I smiled and looked up at her. "I don't know what you see in me. But I hope you never lose sight of it." I said, happily. She kissed my head and I smiled. "Believe me. I don't think that's possible my dear." She said, causing me to smile again.

I remember life before
Faraway dreams and locking doors
Then you came, then you came
Afraid to fall, to be free
Always mine own worst enemy
Isn't what, what you see
I took time to realize
That I couldn't do it by myself, myself

There's no gravity when you're next to me
You will always break my fall, like a parachute
When you're holding me so weightless I can barely breathe
You will always break my fall, my fall
Like a parachute
You're my parachute

With you it all begins
Feeling okay in my own skin
So alive, I'm so alive
I know this life isn't gonna be perfect
The ups and downs are gonna be worth it
As long as I'm, I'm with you

There's no gravity when you're next to me
You will always break my fall, like a parachute
When you're holding me so weightless I can barely breathe
You always break my fall, my fall
You're my parachute

When I'm standing at the edge
It's such a long way down
And I second-guess myself
You better catch me now
Woah-oh, woah-oh
Woah-oh, woah-ooh
Never touch the ground

There's no gravity when you're next to me
You will always break my fall, like a parachute
When you're holding me so weightless I can barely breathe
You will always break my fall, my fall
Like a parachute
You're my parachute

I sat in Regina's class and stared ahead at the movie we're watching. We're watching Romeo and Juliet because we're doing a unit on Shakespeare right now. I looked at Regina as she watched and I smiled a little. She's my girlfriend. That beautiful woman. She chose me. She actually chose me, of all people, to be her girlfriend. I bit my lip as I grabbed my notebook and started writing something down. I got out my phone and turned the brightness all the way down, then went to safari. Today's January 25th. I'm 3 months pregnant. I have a small baby bump, but it's not really that noticeable. Regina noticed it. But I mean, we were sort of living together.. I have a doctors appointment this afternoon to check on the baby. Henry's going with me because I won't let Regina until my 6 month scan where I'll find out the gender. I looked up to see Regina looking at me curiously and I blushed before looking away.

I sat in the exam room at my doctors office and stared at the wall. "Hello Ms. Swan." Dr. Whale said as he came in. "Hi." I mumbled. "How have you been? Still having morning sickness?" He asked, as he began getting things ready. "I've been fine. No, the morning sickness stopped around 2 and a half months. Just some minor nausea. Nothing bad." I said, quietly. "That's good. We're just going to do an ultrasound today to check on the baby. And that'll be all." He said, happily. I nodded and he had me lay down. I bit my lip and watched as he got out the gel to rub on my stomach.

I left the exam room and went to the waiting room. Henry smiled at me and stood up and he hugged me. "Is she okay?" He asked. I smiled. "She? What makes you think it's a she?" I asked. He smiled and shrugged. "I just think it is." He said and we walked out. I looked at my phone and saw it was 5 pm. We went to my car and got in. "I think it's a boy." I said, happily. He smiled and my phone started ringing. "Answer that." I said as I backed out. He got my phone from the cupholder and answered it. "Oh, hey." "Yeah lemme ask." He said and pulled the phone away from his ear. "Can we go to dinner at Regina's house?" He asked, hopefully. I smiled and nodded. "she said yes!" He said, happily. I smiled again and drove towards Regina's house. "Okay. See you then. Yeah I'll tell her." He said and hung up. "She said she liked the poem you left for her." He said. I smiled and continued driving to Regina's house. We've only been dating for 3 months but I'm so so in love with her. It's scary. But I can't tell her I love her. Not yet anyways.

We sat in the living room and watched a movie while Regina was in the kitchen on a phone call. "E-Emma?" Regina called out, her voice broken. "Stay here." I said to Henry. He nodded and I got up, going to the kitchen. I got in there to see Regina, tears streaming from her eyes and blood all over her hand. "Baby, what happened?" I asked and rushed over. I grabbed a hand towel and wrapped it around her rapidly bleeding hand. "T-that was Robin. Zelena died. She-she's gone. She died Emma." She said, her tears falling harder. "Jesus baby I'm so sorry." I said and pulled her into my arms. "I-I was holding my wine glass when he told me. I a-apparently held it too tight." She whimpered. "It's okay baby. Go upstairs and change into something comfortable. I'll take you to the emergency room." I said. She frowned. "D-do you think I need to?" She asked. I nodded and she looked away. "It'll be okay." I said, softly. She nodded and went upstairs. I took a deep breath before going back to the living room. "Kid.. I have to take Regina to the ER. It might take awhile so I'll take you home on the-" "can I come? I.. Don't wanna go home.." He mumbled. I smiled. "Yeah I guess you can come." I said and he smiled. After a few minutes, Regina came downstairs in jeans and a hoodie. My eyes went wide at how casual she looked. "You uh.. You ready?" I asked, clearing my throat. She nodded. "Alright. Let's go." I said and Henry walked out. He went to my car and got in the back. I helped Regina into the passenger side before walking around to the driver's side. I got in and turned the car on. I drove to the hospital and parked before helping Regina in, Henry following. We went to the reception desk and the nurse looked up at us curiously. "Uh hi. My friend fell on some broken glass. And I think she may need stitches.." I said, softly. She nodded and began filling out some forms. "It's your right hand, Miss?" She asked. Regina nodded. "Name?" She asked. "Regina Mills." Regina said, flatly. The nurse nodded, then printed out a hospital bracelet. "Here you go. Just follow me and we'll get you in a room immediately." The nurse said. Regina nodded and looked to me. I nodded and looked at Henry. "Can you stay in the waiting room?" I asked him, quietly. He nodded and went to the waiting room. I followed Regina to a room and she sat down on the exam table. The nurse checked her vitals and took the bloody hand towel from her. She rinsed it out in the sink, then wrung it out and gave it back to her. "A doctor will be with you shortly." She said and left. Regina stared ahead blankly and had tears in her eyes. "My sister is dead. The last thing I said to her was that I missed her. I didn't get a last 'I love you'. Or a goodbye. The last thing I said was 'I miss you, you know' while we were fighting. She hung up on me. And now.. She's dead." She said, flatly. "Regina.. I'm so sorry." I mumbled. She looked away. "Will you stay with me tonight?" She asked, quietly. I bit my lip. "Of course I will." I said and she looked at me. She nodded and tried to smile.

24 stitches and an hour later, we were on our way home. We dropped Henry off a few minutes ago and now we're on our way home. Regina reached over and grabbed my right hand in her left. "I love you, Emma."
