Chapter 1:
*five months later*
~*Harry's POV*~
We were on our way to get Louis' surgery done. I was driving and Louis was sitting in the passenger seat looking so excited for it. He was watching out the window, smiling a mile. I was kind of excited for it, but nervous for Louis. I didn't want to tell him, but I was thinking and what if something goes wrong and Louis ends up dead? My beloved Louis, dead? I couldn't have that. I was hoping nothing would go wrong, but there was still the thought pulling at my heart strings. We were almost there and I took one hand off the wheel to intertwine it with Louis' I needed to know he was still here right now. As we pulled into the parking lot I looked over at Louis.
"It's now or never." I said before we got out of the car and walked in holding hands. We had to wait a few minutes before a young-looking lady called his name.
"Louis Tomlinson?" She called. Louis stood up and I grabbed his wrist. He looked down at me confused.
"Can I have a kiss first?" I asked, standing up. He nodded and I captured his lips moving mine with his as passionately as possible. I poured all the love I had into this kiss just incase it was the last. Even though I hoped to hell it wouldn't be. I released Louis' lips, breathlessly, letting go of his wrist so he could go into his room. I sat back down watching as he followed the nurse down the hall until they turned and I couldn't see them anymore.
"You really love him, don't you?" The lady at the front desk asked. I looked around noticing if was just us two here, so she was talking to me.
"Yes, with all my heart." I replied to her.
"You two are adorable." She responded.

A few hours passed and it felt like minutes. I had been talking to the lady at the desk, who's name I learned was Christina. She was really nice. Christina told me about her boyfriend, her friends, family. I told her about Louis and how I was worried about the surgery. Which she had calmed me down about. We ended up talking for about 5 hours then the same woman from before entered the room.
"Mr. Styles? Louis would like to see you." She stated. I hopped off the counter and followed the lady to Louis' room. Noting the number on the door; 27. When Harry walked in he saw Louis laying on the bed, he was hooked up to a few tubes and had a quilt draped over him, though he had a gown on.
"Dr. Reyes. He may be in a bit of pain but we have him on some medication that should reduce the pain quite a lot." The male doctor stated. I just nodded as the doctor exited.
"Hey, Lou. How ya feelin'" I asked softly walking to his boyfriend.
"I'm in a little bit of pain but in okay Hazza." Louis said moving and wincing slightly.
"Do you feel like you made the right decision?" I asked pulling a chair next to Louis' bed.
"Yeah." Louis replied quietly. I took my "new and improved" boyfriend's hand in my own and held it as Louis began to fall asleep, probably because of the medication he was on.

About an hour later the same nurse walked back in. Louis had woken up a few minutes ago but he wasn't entirely into it all.
"Mr. Styles, I'm sorry to inform you that visiting hours are over for the day and you have to leave. You can come back bright and early to see Mr. Tomlinson tomorrow." She stated, waiting to walk me out of the room.
"Aw, already? I guess I gotta go Boo. Kiss?" I asked puckering my lips right in front of Louis' face. We kissed shortly, not quite a full on snog, but close.
"Bye, bye, Hazza. I love you so much. You better get your butt in here tomorrow morning or ill be lonely." Louis pouted.
"Love you too, baby. And I surely will. I'll even set an alarm. Kinda want to talk to you when you aren't on so much medication." I chuckled and Louis giggled. I leaned down hugging my boyfriend goodbye trying not to squeeze him too tight.
I followed the nurse out of the room, saying a goodbye to Christina thinking it was appropriate. Then driving the short way home. As he got to mine and Louis' home I immediately felt lonely. I didn't get to sleep with my Louis tonight. I frowned. This wasn't going to be fun.
