"Today's the day we've been all waiting for." Mom said and kissed my cheek as the make up artist put some make up in my face.

"Mom, please stop. You'll ruin the makeup." I said laughing, she still continue to kiss me.

"I just can't believe it you're 19 now."

"Me either." Dad said

"Hey dad." I greeted him

"You look lovely dear. Happy birthday"

"Thank you Dad, Appreciate it."

"You look just like your mom." He said wiping her eyes as he's tears are forming in his eyes.

"Dad, stop not here." said ruining his moment of truth.

"That Neil kid is nice." He said

"Yes, he is." Mom agreed

"That's why I love him." I said

"You really sure you want to move out?"

"Uhuh. I need to find myself and be responsible enough."

"You don't need to do that." Dad said

"No dad I need to do this. I need to train myself to be independent, and at some point I need to help you guys out, so you don't need to go to work anymore and live across the country, I want you to be together, and be happy together."

They hugged me.

"We're so proud of you." They both said

I hold their hands.

"I know Mom and Dad"

Dad drives me to the venue where the ball was going to be held.

Everyone greeted me "Hi" and "Hello" as I walk passed by them.

I saw Jai near the entrance door.

"You look beautiful" I said

"Happy Birthday Beautiful baby girl" She said

"Thank you, Thank you beautiful."

"No! I'm not I look like a clown, you, you look like a queen."

"Aw, thanks. No you're not. You are beautiful."

"Okay then, thank you."

We sited together.

"Did you see Neil?"

"No not yet, why?"

"Oh, nothing."

"Why don't you just text him?"

I texted him a thousand times, but he doesn't respond to any of my text.

"Where is he? he said, he'd be here." I thought to myself.

The crowd was dressed to the nines, and everybody looks good at their gowns and tux, they look so happy, as I look around the room, but there's one thing I'm looking for. I walk myself to the bathroom and saw Leona on the hallway.

I put my head down so she would not see me.

"Hey" She said

"Oh, hey."

"Clara right?"

"Yeah."

"Where is Neil?" She asked

"I don't know, I was going to ask you the same question."

"Oh, maybe he's just late."

"Yeah, I need to go." I said and walk to the bathroom.
