I'm woken by constant beeping that I've come to know as a heart monitor. I try to open my eyes but they're just too heavy and im just too comfortable.

I notice there's someone holding my hand and judging by how tight they're holding it, he cares witch rules out my father. I try to move but I just get a searing pain in my side. I move uncomfortably trying to make it stop and then it's like world War II in here. Theres yelling for doctors and peole screaming how it's a miracle I'm awake. What is going on?

"Chloe? Chloe, can you hear me?" A familliar voice says.

I'm finally able to open my eyes and when I do I see a boy with black hair and dark brown eyes.

He's kinda cute, but who is he?

"Who are you?" I ask backing away a little, instantly regretting it when a sharp pain goes through my side and i grimance.

He looks taken back by my question but answers none the less. "Its me, hunter, don't you remember?"

I look more closely at him trying to figure out where I've seen him before but I come up blank. "No, I'm sorry, but I don't know who you are." I swear I saw hurt flash across his eyes but that can't be. Can it? I mean I don't even know who he is.

A doctor walks into the room with a clip board. He stands in front of my bed for a few minutes reading the clip board and when he finally looks up he starts bombarding me with questions.

"What is your name?"

"Chloe samantha Baker"

"Do you know where you are mrs. Baker?"

"The hospital"

"Don't you know what happened?"

I paused before answering. "No"

He looks up for a second before continuing. "How old are you?"

I look at him like he's crazy. "I'm 16" He looks up with a concerned face and looks to this hunter guy but his face looks exactly the same.

"What's wrong? Why doesn't she remembered anything?"

"It's likely that the trauma she went through when she was stabbed caused her t-"

"Wait a minute, I was stabbed?! By who?!"

The doctor looks at me like he just remembered I was here. He looks hesitant to tell me but tells me anyway.

"It was your father. We don't know why he did it, but don't worry he's in jail and won't be out for a long time."

I looked down, shocked that my father would do that. I'm sure I already thought about this but I can't seem to remember anything past my 16th birthday. Everything just fuzzy.

"Where will I go now?" I croaked.

He looked almost pitiful and that just made me angrier. I don't want anyones pity.

"Hunter here offered to take care of you." I looked over to hunter and just stared at him with an empty expression.

Why would he want to look after me, let alone even want to look at me? I dont even know who he is.

But he knows who you are. I reminded myself.

I sighed before nodding reluctantly. "Well than you can just go fill out her release forms when your ready." He said looking at hunter. He just nodded and looked back over to me.

When the doctor left, the room was filled with an awkward silence. Finally after what felt like hours but was probably only a few minutes he walked closer and sat down in the chair closest to the bed.
