The day continued, and it was my last class. Gladly I had it with Taylor.
****AFTER CLASS****
We walked outside, I texted my mom so she was on her way. She didn't have money to get me my own car so, that sucks. Anyways, Taylor got into her car and drove off, leaving me sitting alone. My mom pulled up and I got into her car happily. "How was school?" She asked.
I smiled, "Good."
We continued talking on the way home, I told her about my new friends and she was proud I made them. I even told her about the party and she told me I could go, just to be careful.
When we got home, I searched my closet for a dress. I found a baby blue one with a belt around the stomach portion of it. I lied it on my bed to get dressed into later to wear to the party.
I sat on my bed and leaned against the headboard. After being on my phone for a while my mom knocked on my door, "Sam, you have a friend here." She said.
I groaned, "Okay let them in." She opened the door and Taylor walked in. "Hey!" She smiled. I smiled back at her and got up, "Hey." We hugged and mom left.
"How did you.." I started to ask but she stopped me. "I actually live a few houses down." She smiled and I nodded.
She looked at the dress beside her and laughed, "Is this what you're wearing tonight?" She asked and I smiled at her, "Yeah. Cute, right?" I asked and she shot up, "Of course. Hey, usually I show up early to parties so we should start getting ready. Besides, party starts at 8 and it's... 6:45." She suggested and I nodded. "Okay. But you don't have your stuff." I said and she thought for a second.
"Then let's go to my house. Will your mom care?" she asked and I grabbed the dress and shook my head. On the way out I grabbed some slip ons too. We walked downstairs and my mom smiled at us. "I'm going to her house to get ready." I said and she smiled, "Okay, call me before you leave."
When we got to Taylor's house no one was there but us. "Where's your mom and dad?" I asked. She chuckled nervously, "It's my dad and dad, actually. And they're at work." I coughed, "Sorry." She shook her head and laughed, "It's okay, it's not like you walk into someone's house and are like "Hey where's your dad and dad? Or mom and mom." Right?" I laughed with her, "You're right."
She walked down the hall and I followed her. We walked into her room and started to get ready.
I slipped on my dress and shoes, then walked into her bathroom to do my hair, "You can use my makeup too." She smiled and I nodded, "Thanks."
I stared into the mirror while putting my hair up in a curled pony tail, then I put on a light smoky eye and lip gloss.
I turned around and seen that Taylor was wearing a short pink dress that has sparkles all over it. She was wearing black high heels and her hair was down like normal and her makeup was neutral.
"You look great." I smiled and she smiled back, "Same to you. And look, it's 7:50, we're gonna make it on time."
We walked downstairs and got into her car which was a silver Infiniti. She drove out of her drive way and turned on the radio. Tonight by Hot chelle rae came on and we both started singing very loudly.
After a while of driving we pulled into the yard of an overly large house. "Wow." I said and didn't even mean to. Taylor laughed at me and we got out. The house was already packed and it was 8:10. Teens filled the yard holding red solo cups and swaying to the music being blasted.
We walked into the house and had to push through everyone because they refused to move. This was my first party without my parents, obviously because I'm really shy.
A tall muscular guy leaned against the wall and smiled at us getting up and walking over. He had blonde hair and a very handsome face structure with stunning blue eyes.
He put out his hand and I shook it and smiled but looked confused, "Jason Balcon. Welcome to my party, I don't believe I invited you." He said but in a nice tone. I looked at Taylor, "You're best friend, Mr. Bad boy invited her." She smiled and he shook his head.
"Is he dating you? If so, you're probably not gonna go far. And I wouldn't give up that pretty little body to someone who-" he began but stopped when he seen Taylor glaring at him.
"I'm Samantha Lawson. New to the school and not dating Tristan." I laughed and he laughed.
