Sitting on MY couch is John!
Oh my heart is beating ten times it should be.
Oh my!
Ok first of all, what's he doing in MY house, on MY couch, when I didn't even let him in?
Questions from all sides surround me and start circling me, oh! Could my day get more rough?!?
He looks up and gives me the sweetest of smiles.
Oh!
My heart melts, while beating so extremely hard.
I quickly recover and take my seat across form him. Not breaking eye contact.
"Hi, well you've obviously changed since the last time I seen you" he said.
"H-hi, well it is a big surprise! You don't have everyday when someone decides to welcome themselves to another's house!"
Stay calm Carrie, you don't wanna scare him away!
He looks down at his hands, then looks up and smiles.
"Well if I'm correct, if this would have been a few weeks ago you would have ran, screaming bloody murder..." He replied.
"Well things have changed since then." I shrugged.
He looks up with a startled look," really?"
"Well,"I start explaining everything about my confession to God.
"So all I need to do yet is to ask you to forgive me. I know that I might have been very self centered and I'm sorry for that, will you forgive me?" I ask.
He looks down again, a few moments pass before he looks up and smiles. I see his eyes turn glossy.
"I forgive you" he whispers.
I jump up and run over to him, giving him a tight hug. " oh, I thought I would have gotten over you all these years, but now I realize that I'm still as deeply in love with you as I was when you left. I truly still love you" I whisper through tears into his ear.
He looks at me, leaning his forhead against mine." I love you too" he whispered.
I throw my arms around his neck for the second time and start to cry with joy!
Not only had God made my life work again, but also brought love back into it!
Oh how amazing is He!
We let go and take seats, side by side on the couch, chattering about this and that, and finally, about spiritual things, I find out that he also had confessed to God, and God told him to come here!
Now how amazing is that?😁
