Backstory // Katsumi

My name is Katsumi ramirez, I'm 16 and i was born September 17th, 2018.

I grew up in Kingdom city, i lived in a apartment a few doors away from Ryuu. I was an only child, after my sister died. My dad was drunk and took her out for a drive... Only one of them came home. I was 9 when that happened, my sister was 17. I never got to meet mom. I was too young to remember her. My sister on the other hand, did. She commit suicide.

After that.... That's when my dad started drinking more. After my sister died. He got worse. He started drinking more and more. But before he and my sister died. I met someone...

I was playing outside one day, when someone was moving in a few doors away from mine. He was small and was happy. He looked around the same age as me

"Hey mom! Do you think we can go to the park after we finished, hunh?" the boy asked his mom. I knew my dad would say no cause he's busy. But i wanted to go.and meet this boy. I waited and waited until they left. The park -as far as i remember - was a few blocks away, a walk distance away

I remember when i got there

The boy started playing on the swing set

I had trouble trying to walk over to him. It was a bit of a hassle, but i started walking. Until... She introduced herself...

"Hi! I'm Ayame. Are you new around here?" the girl said with no issues. She had a smile on her face, as the boy looked at her like he had seen space

I stopped walking, i saw them talking a lot, so i didn't want to intrude their space.

I walked home that evening, sad that i couldn't say hi.

As i walked up the stairs to the apartment, i saw he had been drinking more. He was waiting for me to get home. I stopped on the few last steps, as i swallowed my comfort

"You! Get inside. You're in big trouble, young missy!" my dad said. He grabbed my arm as tight as he could and slammed the door behind us. He threw me on the ground and i remember him yelling "Don't do that shit to me! That's why you're mom left, your sorry ass!!"

I layed on my side crying, he got a belt and hit me a few times. I cried in pain... My sister came out of her room yelling at him to stop. She picked me up and we both left the house for the night "Don't come back tonight begging for a place to sleep!" i remember my dad yelling, as we walked out of the house.

The sun had set at that time and the boy and his mom had been walking up the stairs, they heard yelling and saw i had marks and that i was crying. "Excuse us. I heard yelling coming from one of the rooms, was that you? " the mother asked

Me and my sister were silent. "Don't worry. I won't hurt you. This is my son, Ryuu. My Name is riely." the mother said to us

"I'm elora, this is my sister, Katsumi " my sister said to riely "We really need a place to stay overnight. " she added

Riely agreed and let us in for the night. We had all been in the living room, and i finally got the guts to talk to Ryuu "Hi... I-im katsumi. I saw you at the park earlier. I tried saying hi... B-but i uh... I had to go home" i said to him

"Hi! I'm Ryuu! " he said, as he smiled at me

That's when me and him started talking.

We ended staying the night

Little did i know... That wouldn't be my first and last.
