Reeled in (A Cronkri fanfic)

Stolen Phones

     Kankri is not like most of the other trolls in this town. He likes to stay out of the way of drama and does his best not to gossip. Which at times can be difficult considering for his best (and pretty much only) friend Porrim Maryam is almost always tangled up in some bad situations. She had always been that way but as the two of them grew older it only got worse. He watches as she stumbles and falls from one quadrant to the next. Honestly he finds quadrants rather undesirable and has been celibate for years and has no intent in changing that.
    Kankri (eight sweeps) and his seven sweep old brother, Karkat are both home schooled. The schooling system was set up based on blood color. The higher you are in the hemospectrum you are the higher the quality of your education. With that said they are not on the hemospectrum there for society doesn't see them fit enough for an education at all. But their father was taught by the Dolorosa who is a jade blood and who has two daughters the same age as Kankri and Karkat for the two of them to get an education from. It's rather impressive that mutant trolls such as them are receiving jade level education. The only down side is the lack of social interaction but their father the Signless likes to take them places like field trips to meet new trolls as compensation.
     One day while Kankri is enjoying his lunch break in-between his fathers lessons. He feels his phone vibrate in his pocket. It appears to be a message from Porrim. Normally this doesn't bother him because its not uncommon for Porrim to message him during this time of day because his father lined up their lunch breaks to be at the same time. But he couldn't help but roll his eyes once he opened the message.

KV: Meenah I kn9w its y9u. Y9u are n9t d9ing a very g99d j96 p9sing as P9rrim c9ncidering that y9u are using y9ur 9wn quirk instead of her own. Assuming p9sing as P9rrim was y9ur intent, which I assume it was 6y the fact that I kn9w y9u have my tr9llian.

KV: Meenah i kn9w its still y9u. And please refrain fr9m calling me such harsh things, Its very triggering. And p9sing as 9thers is als9 quite triggering c9nsidering y9u can tarnish their reputati9n, ruin relati9nships, em6arrass them, and the list g9es 9n. I 9nly have a limited am9unt 9f time t9 eat and I d9 n9t wish t9 spend it listing them all. With that said I still find it imp9rtant f9r y9u t9 kn9w what name calling and p9sing as 9thers can d9. There f9r please d9 expect me t9 message y9u at a m9re c9nvenient time t9 inf9rm y9u 9n the distress y9u can cause an9ther tr9ll.

    "FUCK!" Meenah slams the phone she had just freshly pick pocketed off a certain jade blood on to the lunch table, nearly shattering the screen. She catches the attention of a her friend nearby.
     "... Meenah, is that Porrims phone?" She avoided eye contact from her blue blooded friend.
     "Nooo..." She looks back to her friend who now had her arms crossed and had one eye brow raised at her.
     "Meenah I know your lying." Meenah could never get a lie past her
'mind reading spider bitc)( of a frond' but it never hurt to try.
     "T)(ATS NO FUCKIN FAIR!" She pointed a finger at her friend not even an inch away from her face.
     "You read my cod damn mind Aranea!" Aranea only rolled her eyes and sighed as she calmy pushed Meenah's finger out of her face.
     "Yes Meenah I tooooooootally read your mind. 8ecause you know it o8viously takes a mind reader to figure out that that phone 8elongs to Porrim, even though its jade and has a rather large Virgo sign on it." Meenah fell silent thinking of what to say next.
     ")(ow do you know its not Camaya's!"
     "Well there is the fact that is bedazzled and KANAYA doesn't really strike me as a bedazzled kind of person. Not that you would know for that fact that you don't talk to her and its pretty evident 8y the fact you can't even say her name correctly."
     "Fin you win its glubin Porrims, damn." Meenah puts her arms up in defeat.
     "What was you intent with stealing her phone?"
     "W)(ale to do what i'm good at, stir some s)(it up. Get people pissed, you know how I am" Aranea put out her hand, gesturing to Meenah to give her the phone.
     "Meenah just give it here and I'll give it to Porrim."
     "NO! I can glubbin give it to her myshelf. What do you not trust me to give it to her or.... OR!" Meenah got a shit eating grin on her face.
"What?"
"..."
" WHAT?!"
     "Oh Poooooooorrim my flush crush! I have saved your phone from the hands of that evil Meenah!" Meenah said as she mimicked Aranea and soon continued only this time pretending she is Porrim..
     "Oh Aranea! Thank you, you're my hero what would I ever do without you? Lee swoon!" Meenah got a huge grin on her face before continuing.
"Let's kiss!"
"MEENAH! Stop that."
     "Oh come on I know your flushed for her" Aranea put her hand out.
     "Just give me the phone and..." She was cut off. The two off them were now in the shadow of a troll standing in front of them.
     "Vwhats up?" Oh cod this guy Meenah put on a major bitch face.
     "Non of your glubbin business."
     "Awww come on I'm just lookin to chat. It looked like you two vwhere hawvin a good time and I just vwanted to come see vwhat all the ruckus vwas about. Hey is that Por's phone?" Meenah smiled and looked at Aranea, then to the phone in question, and then back to Cronus.
     "...Yeah acctshely it is." She held the phone out to Cronus. ")(ere you take it, do what you want." He reached out for the phone but Meenuh quickly pulled it away.
     "Only if you leave me alone for the rest of the week." Aranea had a look of shock on her face. She could not believe what Meenah was saying.
     "MEENAH!" Meenah didn't even look Araneas way but still acknowledged what she said.
     "Scratch that, you have to leave both me AND Aranea alone for the rest of the week." Cronus paused for a moment considering the deal. Well its already half way through wednesday so thats only like two and a half days with out talking to either of them so its not that bad of a deal.
     "Okay." He shrugs and Meenah hands him the phone and he walks away
     "Sea you two svweet hearts next vweek." He does a double pistol and wink as he walks backwards, not two seconds later he runs into some pore troll and trips and falls.
     "MEENAH why would you do that!"
     "Because I reely wanna sea some ship go down" She gives the biggest most innocent looking grin, showing off all of her shark like teeth.
     "You just want to watch the world burn don't you?"

Back to Kankri
    Kankri had just finished eating when he is about to get up to wash his plate when his phone vibrates in his pocket again. He quietly pulls it out to see a new message from Porrim. At least he hopes its Porrim.
