"Lucas what the fuck? You got shot in the shoulder! How are you not freaking out?!"

"I don't know really. I guess now that I know I'm still alive , I don't have to fear."

"Crazy for you , yeah."

I shake my head.

"Really? You're gonna flirt with me while you're in a hospital bed , bandaged?"

"Yup. Since our date didn't go as planned."

"Speaking of our date. I'm a take you out to eat when you get out of here."

"But I'm suppose to be --"

"Yes but that shootout was my fault. So I'm gonna make it up to you."

He smiles.

"Come here. Lay next to me."

"But your shoulder?"

"Lay next to me on my left side."

"Okay but first your parents are here and they were here all night so I'm sure as hell they don't wanna see how you're doing."

He groans.

"Here we go."

I roll my eyes and go get them.

"You guys can see him now."

The rush into the room right away.

My phone goes off receiving a message and I check it.

2 days later.

Luke was finally able to go home. I had to go home for a while yesterday though because Luke wanted me to go rest in my own bed and I try to object but he wouldn't listen.

While I was home ,  I had said bye to Luis and Brianna.

Surprisingly she gotten over me while she was here.

Apparently she met this guy named Nick Robinson. I'm proud of her for finally moving on. She couldn't stay single all her life.

As for Luis. He went home with a whole new set of gear. Better weapons and better armor. Pretty sure he stole that shit from Brian's group.

Oh by the way , Sofia didn't die. She ran away before Brianna couldn't even shoot the gun. I don't know where she's gone and I hope she knows not fuck with any of us.

Anyway I hadn't realized Luke was awake until he kissed my cheek then I 'accidentally' turned my head and our lips connected.

He smiles into the kiss but pulls back.

"You know I was gonna wait until our date."

"It's okay we can do other stuff on our date." I wink.

"God. Can you not be sexual for one minute?" He laughs.

"Shut up. I know you want to."

"True." He blushes.

"You know I top right?"

"No. I do."

"Nuh-Uh."

"You're a power button."

"Why you always lying?"

"Mmm oh my god." He sings back.

Then the nurse walks in.

"Stop fucking lying..." I sing lowly.

She raises her eyebrows smiling.

"Am I interrupting something?"

"Nope." Luke answers her.

"Okay so you can leave now Mr. Hemmings. I just gotta get your papers so you can go pick up your medication from Walgreens."

"Okay thank you nurse ... ?"

"You can just call me Iris." She grins then walks out.

"Ready to go home?"

"Hell yeah. I'm tired of this shitty ass bed."

I chuckle and get his clothes so he can get dressed.
