Chapter 30

"Who are you, again?" The lady behind the desk asked plastering a fake smile on her face trying so hard to be nice to me

"A family friend," I said for the 4th time today "when will she get out?" I asked trying not to get aggravated at the women who clearly didn't know anything about aria's state

She had to be okay? Right?

How could someone just hit her with their car? How can somebody be so blind?

I was debating on weather or not to tell someone, like her friends or family but decided against it, she probably didn't want them to know anyways.

I sigh and went back to pacing around the room trying to distract myself from thinking of aria.

What happened yesterday tho? Why was aria in my bed and not jackie? Where was wes?

I couldn't remember anything and I had a feeling that it's better off that way

A few minutes I jumped, whenI heard a doctor clear his throat

"Doctor is aria okay?" I basically jumped on him and he gave me a sympathetic smile?

"Are you her boyfriend?" was this guy being serious right now, where is she?

"No just a family friend" he smirked at me before looking at his clipboard

"Aria's fine she's a tough one" he chuckled "but she was awake trough the whole thing and wouldn't let us even check the rest of her body for anymore injuries" I was starting to doubt her story, what if Jake actually hit her, but her bruises looked like she was hit by a car, more specifically a jeep, and if I were ever to findout Jake did this to her I will make sure he regrets the day he laid a finger on her

I gave him a look telling Him to go on

"She hit her head pretty hard, and she might be experiencing a concussion, but she wouldn't let us do anything other than stitch her up" the doctor sighed an expression of sorrow on his face

"A what?" I asked staring at the doctor dumbfounded

A concussion? What did she ever do to deserve this?

"A concussion, which can also be called minor head trauma" he explained

"I know what a concussion is" I'm a teacher for Christ's sake, but he didn't know that"what's gonna happen to her?"

"It May result in a temporary loss of brain function, concussion causes a variety of physical, cognitive, and emotional symptoms, which may not be recognized if
subtle." He explained "she's going to have to reduce some activities, such as as school work, playing video games and text messaging. Symptoms usually resolve within three weeks, though they may persist or complications may occur." (Literally had to copy this off Wikipedia, sorry not sorry)

I was speechless, I didn't even know how to react.

"And her file here says that she has also been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder about 2 years ago?" This was too much for me to hear right now

This girl was probably broken beyond repair.

At this moment i promised myself to try my best and save her, she couldn't give up.

"Umm..yeah, yeah" I nodded still trying to absorb what was happening

"From the behaviour I saw earlier it looked like she was off her meds." He informed
