The train trip of a lifetime- C.H

Chapter 5

Jlee POV

I quickly pulled away when I heard the door open. I quickly pushed Cal off of me and looked at the door. Michael, or Mikey as we call him, walked in with Ilse. Calum and I shared a look before looking at them again. "Sorry...are we disturbing something?" Ilse asked as she looked at us. I shook my head vigorously. Calum shook his head too and ran a hand through his hair.  "Nope." He spoke for the both of us before he walked out of the salon. Mikey and Ilse watched him walk away before they turned their gaze to me. "I...am going to uh...toooo...train Allstar...yea..." I mumbled, walking out of the door. I felt them burning holes in my back with their eyes as I turned around so I walked into the hallway.

I hummed along to a Nirvana song as I walked towards the stables. I ran a hand through my hair and opened the door, walking inside. I noticed that as soon as I walked in, Allstar looked at me. I smiled a bit, walking over to stand in front of his stall door. He looked at me with big eyes as he perked his ears forward along with his nose. I chuckled lightly and put my hand on his nose, rubbing my thumb. "Ready for some jumping?" I asked softly, opening the door. He nickered lowly and snorted. I walked out of his stable towards the tack room and walked inside. I looked at the saddles and looked at the direction of the door as it opened and Luke walked in. "Oh hi." He smiled, a dimple popping out on his cheek. I smiled and looked back at the saddles. "Hey." I replied. I noticed him rummaging through some things and mumble softly to himself. "So...I didn't really see you as an Arabian type of guy." I turned to look at him with a smile. He looked up and smiled slightly. "Yea I can understand that...it's a long story to be honest." He said before he looked through the stuff again. "You can tell me if you want to?" I asked softly, grabbing a saddle of the hook. I huffed a little when it landed on my arms. He shrugged. "It makes me seem like a snob so...I'll tell you maybe someday. I gotta go now." He gave me a small smile before he walked out towards the stables. I gave a small nod and grabbed a saddle pad along with a bridle. I walked out of the tack room and went towards the stables. I opened the door in an unhandy way and bit my lip in concentration. Once I got it open I walked towards Allstar and started to tack him up. Once I was done I checked the last couple things before I grabbed his reins and walked out of the stables. I led him towards the arena and mounted on his back, taking the reins in my hand and spurring him on. I was happy to see that someone did some jumping before I did, so now I didn't have to set it up again.

I warmed Allstar up a bit and looked at the obstackles. It wasn't that hard I suppose. I led him to the first obstacle and bit my lip in concentration. I spurred him on a bit and let him launch himself towards it. I made sure I was in the right jumping position as Allstar pushed himself off the ground and flew over the obstacle. I smiled as we landed and turned him to the next couple jumps. We only made two mistakes which was okay. We had enough time to practise anyway so it should be fine.

I dismounted him and grabbed his reins, leading him back to the stable. On my way there I stopped when we walked past Stan doing some western tricks. I stopped walking and looked at him. He was shirtless and his broad shoulders tensed a little with every movement. His sparkly blue eyes didn't leave his horse's movements as it spun. His blonde little quiff bounced as his horse began to sprint along the sides of the arena he was in. I swallowed and quickly walked towards the stables with Allstar trailing behind me. I took of his tack and started cleaning him. My thoughts drifted off to what happened in my room. It kind of looked like they didn't like each other at all. Which may or may not be real too. Whatever is starting between the two, I don't know if I would like to be a part of it. Maybe they just both had a bad day or something. Whatever it is, it shouldn't bother me...at least not this much.
