Writing Sessions Gone Wrong
After saying my harsh words there was no date for me and Lauren. We had stopped talking for the rest of the day and I had returned to my bus to let my emotions pour out into a song. Lyrically the song I wrote described my feelings on Lauren's new boyfriend or whatever he was. I was afraid of losing my best friend to Brad but at the same time I wanted her to be happy and my rampage surely wasn't helping keep a smile on her face so when I woke up the next morning I went over to her bus.
Lauren was talking to Normani and I wrapped my arms tightly around her, keeping in mind Camila's words. My mouth dropped near her ear, "I enjoy spending time with you. I shouldn't have lied to you about why I was late and I'm sorry. Lauren, I'm sorry for making you angry yesterday." I apologized and Normani took the signal and went inside. Lauren turned around and sighed, taking my hands into hers.
"I overreacted. I'm the one who should be sorry. Forgive me?" Lauren's calming eyes looked into mine and I smiled when a gust of wind blew her hair to the side. She covered her eyes with the sleeves of her oversized sweater and I kissed her cheek, my lips unintentionally lingering on her skin.
"Can you come over to my bus? I wrote a song and I want you to look it over for me." Lauren's eyes lit up at my question and she rushed inside of my bus, grabbing my notebook and reading through my lyrics as I sang it to her in a hushed tone. She reached for a pen and at the top of the page wrote a title for the song, something which I had forgotten.
"It sounds good, why don't we try writing one together?" Lauren handed me my guitar and I played a few random chords before coming up with an appropriately catchy beat. Lauren struggled to come up with lyrics so, in my mind, I found the memory of us dancing on the night of the first party we ever threw together.
The end of the night
We should say goodbye
But we carry on
While everyone's goneI sung and Lauren stuttered, trying to come up with words but I laughed and my body leaned in towards her. I placed my guitar down and Lauren puckered her lips playfully but I stared at her, taking in every detail of her face. Her green eyes filled with happiness, her eyebrows slightly curving to show emotion, and her kissable all natural luscious pink lips alluring mine.
Lauren's lips turned into a straight line when she noticed I was in a trance and my hand went to the side of her face, my thumb stroking over her pale skin. My lips gravitated towards hers and I couldn't detain myself from giving Lauren just one quick peck. My lips decided to stay on hers as my hand slid behind her neck to pull her closer to me. My guitar was pushed aside by my legs as I eagerly pinned Lauren down on the small couch and as my hands slid underneath Lauren's clothes, she pulled away momentarily.Never felt like this before
Are we friends or are we more?
As I'm walking towards the door
I'm not sure
