"I don't like being here!" I was whining to Crystal walking up to our classroom.
"Oh, shut up!" She replied annoyed.
I won't blame her for that, I have been complaining about coming to school after coming to school every morning since it began. It's not because I hate school I just really love my sleep!
"Tell me already!" Crystal brought me back to reality. She was pissed I could tell.
"Huh?" I asked confused. As the word left my mouth I realized what she was asking for.
Since the whole shuffle of the seating arrangement Daisy and Abigail make sure they come to visit me every hour. This has become a routine for them and for me. But one thing I can't get used to is them teasing me with Kian every single time. It becomes so obvious that Jake and Crystal are now taking guess. Of course, they've guessed Kian's name but I haven't denied or admitted to anything yet.
She just stood there at the stairs staring at me as if I just said something inappropriate.
"What?" I snapped at her.
And suddenly her stare turned into a huge grin. A really really huge one.
"Are you okay?" I was lost, whats gotten into her suddenly?
"Turn around" is all she said before shutting her eyes and smiling to herself.
I was confused and turned in the most giraffe-with-long-neck-like manner possible!
And ended up staring at a pair of beautiful eyes, they were big and shiny and deep and just so damn beautiful! I swore I had never seen them before.Just when I was analyzing the depth of those eyes, from behind came out a handsome man saying "excuse me" smiling eye to eye right at me and that was enough. Enough to distract me from any thought in my head, that smile had just made my whole week. I suddenly had enough energy to climb 5 more floors even though our school had only 3. It was Kian, he was smiling at me with his perfectly aligned pearly whites.
I watched as Kian walked up the stairs and right as he was making a turn I'm positive he caught me looking. I was embarrassed but happy he noticed me noticing him. I couldn't stop grinning, all I could think about was his smile and how he was polite enough to say excuse me, who even uses manners these days.
A part of me knows I'm just trying to paint Kian as an amazing flawless human whos also blessed with good looks. But believe me, he really does seem perfect to me. Everything I've heard about him and seen myself portray him like a gentleman any girl would be lucky to have. He's one of the kindest souls I've seen, always the first to help anyone, the first to notice others, and the first to make my day 100 times better. I'm pretty sure no one can hate him, he's just one of those people who keep you excited for whatever life throws at you and lets you cry on their shoulder if it gets too hard. He's a balance of mature or childish when needed and only he knows how to switch according to the situation.
Just when I was occupied with my thoughts I saw something huge move from my peripheral vision, slowly realizing the owner of those beautiful eyes was none other than Caspar. Caspar had been waiting for me to move and give him way for however long my thoughts were running. I felt embarrassed but didn't really care about what he thought of me. I had just been smiled at by Kian and no other thought could distract me.
"Are you blind?" he asked confused and amused while he walked away. I knew he saw my little slow-mo moment in the middle of the stairway. You could make out from the way he was trying to hide his smile, that he knew something I don't or has figured something out about me. He should smile more it's pretty cute, I thought to myself quickly shaking it off.
As we entered class people were everywhere! Everyone looked happy and energized for the day, which was soon gone as we had a pop-up quiz in math by the 2nd hour. I wasn't too shabby in math and wasn't worried much.
Caspar on the other hand was extremely anxious. I could hear him and Jake discussing strategies to get a minimum passing score. I could've easily helped them but I needed them to beg for it. At least Jake had to, I wasn't gonna let this one go easily. As the quiz paper distribution began Jake pulled my chair back towards him and whispered "We'll do anything you want please you've got to help us out." I smiled without saying anything as I tilted my paper so he could see while jotting down the calculations on the side.
As the hour ended, the whole class signed way louder than the bell. It was a sigh of relief that math was over for the day. We all went around the normal routine with Abigail and Daisy popping in every hour to make sure I'm doing fine.
