I was still in the depth of my slumber when I heard some bells. Lazily, I cupped for my comforter and buried my face directly into my pillow. I heard various voices. Yung parang nagpapaalala. Uggghhh, I'm still sleepy, can't they just go?

But I should have known, the next thing I noticed, various streaks of light came and flushed my bed. Darn. I moved and looked up a bit, awtomatikong tumataas na ang blinds ng floor-to-ceiling window glass ko. I could see the light from the sun illuminating my dark and dead-princess room, I could even take a glimpse of the Olympic size swimming pool magnificently made and designed in the welcoming portion of the mansion.

Hinilot ko yung ulo ko. Yes, I was a bit drunk last night. My bestfriend, Harvey Rusitini managed to convince me to attend the Premiere Night of the latest Telenovela in Philippine Station. After the VVIP Entrance which followed immediately from our Limousine catchy gala, we danced and the rest is the normal boring story.

I inhaled the sufficient amount of air I could before I looked at her. The woman who dressed much like a queen cleared her throat before starting the daily ceremony of what-happened-don't-you-know-who-you-are lines.

I gathered every fiber of strength I could to weave the perfect defense which would prevent me from being hurt.

People began looking at my direction. Precious seemed disoriented with what she heard from Kieffer as well.

I pulled a smile as I looked at him. He was staring at me not with surprise but with contempt. I saw it when Sebastian looked at me with an emotion I can hardly name.

Why not? Kassandra Cojuangco will never set foot in the high rise building. Kassandra Cojuangco will never do anything that has something to do with Kieffer Fortman. Kassandra Cojuangco will maintain her ground even when the world ends.
