FINALLY THE last day of school. No more homework, no more tests, no more teachers, no more nothing! Just as the last bell rang, I headed towards my locker to gather up my things.
"Hey! Are you all ready for summer?"
A familiar male voice rang throughout my ears. I just smiled and continued to put my books into my backpack. "Ehh," I managed to let out, "I'm pretty much gonna spend time with 'ball just so I could distract myself from the fact of starting eighth grade soon!" The raven haired boy grinned a little while nodding his head in agreement. "Heh, same here. See you around kid!" And with that, he ruffled my hair into a mess. He had disappeared away. My eyes suddenly turned to face his shadow.
'I'm sure gunna miss you, Jose .'
After all of that commotion, I said a lot of goodbyes to everyone that I knew. Sighing, I eventually made my way out the building then waited patiently for my mom to pick me up. I couldn't help, but notice that she's been taking a whole while. Another 20 minutes passed, so I just decided to go home by foot.
I hummed to myself while I walked towards my way. I was just so caught up in my own world that I suddenly realized I was walking onto a dirt field. I jerked my head up to find a bunch of boys who were in the middle of their mini baseball game. I was so confused. I've never seen this place before. "What the hell?" I questioned my own self. Quickly, I took a deep breath as I intended to walk as fast as I could through all these guys. Not even a minute passed by and I already could feel their eyes land on me.
Gosh, this is so embarrassing!
As I walked to the nearest exit, I had soon stopped in my tracks. "HEY! HEADS UP!" Someone yelled out at me. I looked above to find a baseball heading towards my face. Right at the point I was about to scream, a gloved hand caught the ball perfectly before it could even come into contact with me. My orbs quickly glanced at the one who saved me from having a black eye. A tan boy with his light brown hair in a slick combover instantly glanced back at me. Was this my hero?
"Um, thanks man.." I had smiled a bit. "Yeah yeah. It's nothing," the boy responded with a slight smirk. His cheeks had a faint pink color tinted on them. I smiled once again. I then gripped the straps of my bag and began to walk, but he stopped me from doing so.
"What's your name?"
I spun around to face him, "My name's Latia Santana." The beautiful blue in his eyes glistened lightly. "Nice name, haha. I'm Alan McCleannan, but please call me Yeah Yeah." I laughed at his cute nickname. "Sweet! Anyways another thank you for that. You saved my life!" A grin took place against my lips. "Like I said doll, no problem!" I laughed once more, but this time at the word doll. I just really ain't pretty from what I see with my own eyes. It's so funny what people tell me.
"Alright! See ya!" I turned to the direction I was heading to. Without thinking, I looked back at him and the rest.
I hope someday I'll see you again, my savior.
