Chapter Four: Meeting with the Intruder

Chapter 4

"Edward, is she okay?" I heard Seth ask Edward in a worried voice. I knew he would be worried for me, but how did we get to the Cullens so fast?

"I don't know Seth, she is only thinking about you." Edward said and k felt very hot arms around me.

"Caroline? Are you alright? Can you open your eyes? Or maybe huh me back? Can you do anything?"

"Seth." I thought to him, not knowing why I was even trying to do this. "Seth, I am alright. I don't know why I can't do any of those things, but I am fine." I thought to him.

"Edward, what was that?" Seth said loudly, and his arms set me back down gently, before disappearing.

"NO! SETH, DO NOT LET ME GO!" I screamed in my head. He gasped, put his arms around me again, holding me tightly against his chest.

"Edward?" He said, obviously looking for answers.

Edward sighed softly. "I didn't see this before, having the ability to read minds, hers included. And she some how could block Eleazar from seeing her talent. And I am also surprised by her ability being so strong as she is still a human."

I struggled, trying to get my eyes open. I pushed them open, and breathed heavily from my power.

"Seth?" I said, and he pulled me a little further away, so he could look into my eyes.

"Caroline? Are you alright?" But I dint answer his question, instead I pulled him closer, pushing my lips on his.

He kissed me back, but soon pulled away from me, grabbing my hand and pulling me up from the ground.

"How did I get on the ground?" I asked curiously. I brushed the grass off my jeans and looked at Edward.

"We pulled you there because you weren't breathing. Seth had to do CPR to bring you back." Edward explained.

"Seth?" I said looking into his eyes again. He smiled,.leaning in closer again.

"Yes?" He whispered quietly, his hand stroking my cheek.

"I think I am in love with you." I answered, closing the distance between us, and kissing him. He kissed me back more passionately this time, and I forgot Edward was there with us.

He cleared his throat and Seth and I broke away, looking sheepish. I stifled a laugh.

"Edward, how I get back to the Cullen house?" I questioned. Just a little bit ago, I had been passed out in Seth's truck.

"I picked you guys up. Seth called again and informed me of your troubles. And then we fly nd out you weren't breathing, so we pulled you out of the car and onto the ground to do CPR. Your mother is with the rest of the girls. They went shopping to calm her down."

"You told her?"I asked.

"No. She was freaking out about you dating a werewolf." He said, laughing.

Emmet appeared beside us, looking at Seth and me, wondering why I was being held so tightly in his arms.

"Ooo! Sethy boy finally has a girlfriend! I guess you fell out of love with Renesmee after all!" Emmet boomed, laughing loudly.

"I was never in love with her, you over sized, stupid, nosy idiot." Seth growled.

"Sure you weren't, Sethy. You just followed her around for nothing." Emmett said

"I was not following her, we were talking, because we were friends." He insisted.

"Right. Okay." Emmett said sarcastically, darting into the doors of the Cullen house, still laughing.

I watched him, wondering what went on with Seth and Nessie. I wasn't angry, because Renesmee loved Jacob.

"What is he talking about?" I asked, trying not to laugh for Seth's sake. I looked at Edward and then at Seth again.

"Seth used to have a crush on Ness. But it faded after Jacob fought him over it."

"I was wondering why Jacob hated you so much." I joked, laughing with Edward.

"Can we get back to the important stuff now?" Seth said, glaring at Edward.

Edward composed his face and looked at me. "Alright, so someone new is here. They followed you guys from here, but I might actually know who it is..." He said.

"Who is it, Edward?" Seth asked.

"Caius. He knows about Caroline and he wants her either dead or to become a vampire."

"Does he know about her power?"

"I doubt it, but I don't think that is her only power. Alice can't see

her future, Jasper can't control her emotions and I can only hear some of her thoughts. Alice is afraid of what she might actually be."

"I thought I met Caius in the clearing the day of Renesmee's misunderstanding."

"Not directly. You just saw him. You never got to know his scent, that is why you don't know it."

A twig snapped from behind Seth and I. Edward gasped, grabbing me from Seth and pushing me farther back from whoever it was behind me and Seth.

"Caius." Edward said coldly, and looked up to see Seth morph into his wolf form.

**Heyy!!!!!! Thanx for reading!!!!!! I was going to put someone else from the Volturi to appear, but it seemed Caius was always the one who wanted Bella dead when she was human, so I decided he was going to be the one to come to Forks. Suggestions? Comments?Votes? You know what to do. :)**
