Heather ♡;
"I don't even know why you adopted her, she's pathetic and worthless!" Once again my parents were fighting. Well there not my birth parents. Speaking of this topic, I never met my birth parents. The only thing I knew about them was that they gave up on me before I could even walk; my birth dad is a famous actor, and my birth mom is a fashion designer.
I leaned against my bedroom door and continued listening to their conversation,"We adopted her because we wanted a child, and she isn't worthless or pathetic!"
"I agreed on a boy not a girl. She's dumb to realize that no one cares about her and maybe thats why her parents left." My dad David raised his voice,"You know the real reason why they gave up on her, he was too close to her. She would have probably been kidnapped, raped, or murdered."
What the actual fuck.
"Well maybe we should have let her then, she's not our temporarily responsibility for someone else's child."
"That is true, but we still have to take care of her just until her birthday."
"Whatever, Christina. I'm going to work." I heard the door slam after that. I walked out of my room and to the living room finding my mom drinking coffee and on her laptop,"Mom." she looked up,"oh uh hey, Heather. I didn't know you were home."
Of course you didn't."I want to know about why my birth parents gave up on me. And I want the truth, the whole truth." she set her coffee mug down and sighed,"It's a long and complicated story-"
"I have time." she sighed again and told me sit down next to her,"It all started when your birth parents were teenagers, everything was fine but they had a.. not normal friend. He killed your real mother's brother, and he got sent to jail after that. They weren't sure if you were safe because he could escape anytime and try and take you away from them..and here you are now."
When she explained everything I had different emotions; one, I was mad that they never told me but I knew it was for my own good. two, i was confused and scared to death i felt like crying but Christina always told me to be a strong person.
"What's his name," I asked,"Don't worry about it." That's the only thing I didn't want to hear. If you ever asked me that I would just think about it for days until I finally got what I wanted to hear, wether it was good or bad.
I just gave up for now and went back to my room.
