-two weeks later-

Heather ;

Today was my birthday. I was never happy on the day of my birth. I had no friends to celebrate with and my parents never did anything big to actually care. I walked in my house and turned on the lights setting my backpack near the coat rack,"Surprise." I looked up and saw Christina smiling holding a cake and David who just had a straight face.

Christina softly shoved his arm,"Happy birthday, kid." he doesn't even know my own name,"Make a wish." I looked at both of them and blew out the candles. You want to know my wish? To get out of this dump and find my birth parents.

"We have a present for you," David smiled holding out a envelope. I looked at them confused, and hesitated a bit but I took the envelope from his hand and opened it,"Whats this?" I asked examining,"Read it."

I realized it was a way to find my birth parents,"Thank you so much." I hugged them then went back into my room.

I found out that my mother, Ashley, works at Brandy Melville in San Francisco and my dad, Jc, works at a Vans store in Los Angeles. I would live later in the morning to Los Angeles since it was closer to where I lived. I had four more hours until I left, this was the greatest birthday present ever.
