We all went to bed, exhausted from the long walk through the forest. I could see Eden looking at a map on the wall, trying to find out the best way to get to The Mountain of Revival. We couldn't stay here forever, his had to be temporary. "Hey Eden" Alexia said, breaking the silence.

"Are you sure the myth of that silly mountain is true? Only two people had ever made it up, right? So we don't really know for sure if it works, this could all be a waste of time and we die from going to that mountain" she said, probably the longest sequence of words she ever spoke.

"We have to try, right? We don't want to be stuck with this curse, right?" Eden responded, though, Alexia didn't say anything back.

We all went to sleep shortly after that conversation. We needed the rest, I'll ask tomorrow how long we're going to stay I thought, before shutting my eyes.

Morning seemed to come faster then usual. I don't why, maybe anxiety. I seemed to wake up first. Eden face was buried under the blankets, Alexia was laying on top of Tobaso, snoring loudly. I yawned. I went to the bathroom to get ready.

I could see Eden slowly move out from under the layers of blankets, he rubbed his eyes and brushed his messy black hair out of his eyes. "Good morning Eden!" I said. He mumbled something incomprehensible.

I would wait until he was fully awake to ask him about The Mountain of Revival.

We were gonna have dinner at a nearby restaurant. We would talk about it there.

I went to the drawer to see if there was any interesting books in it. There was the Bible and a peculiar book not normally found in hotels. It was called Science: Are we ready for the future?

I picked it up and started reading it, maybe I could get more insight as to how Eden and Koroshi's father managed to make an fluid that injects animal DNA into you and allows you to transform into them.

I read for a bit, and found a sticky-note inside one of the pages, page 279. It read in sloppy handwriting:

This has to be quick because I am leaving soon.

If anyone reads this know I am here or was here. Anyways. My experiment was a work in progress. It never exactly worked out the way it was suppose to.

I tested it on my two sons Koroshi and Eden. I won't go into too much detail but I strapped both of them to a table and shot them (needle) with a special concoction I've been working up.

It didn't go right though. I was suppose to give the ability of the animals. But it made them mutants instead. I didn't know this would happen. I had to hide my freaks, right? So I did.

I kept them from the world, I didn't know what else to do! Boys, if you're reading this, I am sorry, I don't even know if I'll still be alive when you read this or if you don't.

I am sorry I left

I am sorry I didn't feed you

I am sorry I didn't take care of you

I am sorry I didn't potty train you

I am sorry I didn't take you to play

I am so sorry for everything

Goodbye

What? What the hell is this? The father of Koroshi and Eden wrote this? I have to tell Eden! I thought.

I shook Eden, trying to wake him, he groaned and almost tossed me off the bed. "Eden! Get up! This is important!" I shouted, hoping I would just get him up and not Alexia or Tobaso. "Izanami? What is the matter?" he asked, fairly calmly considering he just woke up. "Look at this!" I said, practically shoving the book in his face. "A Science book? Izanami I just woke up! Really?" he asked, his hair a knotted mess of dead protein strands.

"No! Page 279! Look! It's really important!"

"Is it about The Mountain of Revival?"

"No! But it's just as important!"

He got the book from my hands (reluctantly) and turned the page I stated. He was quite eager to see what is was as a matter of fact. He saw the sticky-note's. He read it, I could see his face get more and more dreadful as he read it. His eyes brimmed with tears. He looked like he was ready to cry.

"Eden, are you okay?" I asked cautiously. He didn't respond. He shut the book and squeezed it to his chest. Sniffling softly, he switched on the light and told we were gonna leave for breakfast, and to wake up Tobaso and Alexia.

I left him alone and awoke Alexia and Tobaso. Tobaso woke up almost as soon as I made a noise. He accidentally tossed Alexia off the bed. "Dude, Did you just push me? You're a jerk!" said Alexia, rubbing the red spot on her head and knee. Sorry! I will have to be more careful said Tobaso, or spelt. He used sign language and I did not know that. No wonder he was being so quiet when we first met him.

Eden was now in the bathroom, washing his face and getting ready. "Alexia, can Tobaso talk?" I asked, I hope my tone didn't seem like I was being rude. "No...theres something missing in his vocal cord." she said, climbing onto a couch. Do you know sign language? he signalled. I said no, and Tobaso nodded with a smile. Would you like me to teach you? he signalled. "No thank you" I respond back.

Suddenly, a thought flashed in my mind. I thought; The man in the black trench coat! Their father! His experiment went wrong! Not because it was incomplete! He didn't come to finish it, he came back to get his sons. Everything now made sense. That had to be it, right?

"Hey! Izanami!" said Alexia, waving a hand in front of my face. "I think you just blacked out" she said. "Sorry..thinking about stuff" I responded, but I wasn't thinking a about 'stuff', to me, it was serious news.

"Hey, are you alright? You never daydream" Alexia said, i could tell she was concerned. "Oh, it's nothing, I'm fine" I said, calmly. But no. I was not fine. This was serious.

Eden came out of the bathroom, steam bellowed out of the bathroom. A towel hooked around his neck. His eyes still looked drained of energy. "Is Eden okay? He looks sick" asked Alexia, staring at him from across my shoulder. "He's fine" I said, reassuring her.

"Eden! When are we gonna leave? I'm hungry!" Alexia whined, Eden didn't answer back, like he didn't even hear her. Are you sure he is alright? signaled Tobaso. "I...hope so" I responded.

If I may ask, Eden are we gonna go eat soon? asked Tobaso, now Eden was on his bed, looking at us. "Yeah...we will go soon" he said.

After Alexia and Tobaso got ready, we went out to breakfast.

We ate at a dinner built in the hotel. Alexia got pancakes, bacon and orange juice, Tobaso got the same. Eden and I got waffles, bacon and OJ as well.

Eden face suddenly got rigid, his face pale, he dropped his fork. "Eden, whats wrong?" I asked, staring at him, so was Tobaso and Alexia. "I have to go to the bathroom! I'll be right back!" he suddenly yelled, cupping his stomach. "Stomachache?" asked Alexia, facing me, leaning over the table. "I have no idea" I responded.

Eden was in the bathroom, washing his face, too many memories of the book rushing in his brain. He ran into one of the stalls and vomited. He was sick. He needed to leave. He knew he had to, one, find The Mountain of Revival and two, he had to find his father.

He came back to the tables, he looked sick. "Are you alright?" I asked cautiously. "Y-yeah, b-but can we leave?" he asked, his face red and I could feel his body temperature getting higher and higher. "Yeah, sure" I said, signaling the others we should leave.
