Chapter 5 Suffering

Nobody's p.o.v
After Rin and Yukio found out what happened to (Name) they knew the hardest thing was to explain to her parents what happened. They couldn't tell then about a demon kidnapping her but they told them everything else. Her parents broke down and the twins felt really guilty. "I know you boys haven't been close to (Name) after what happened, but please promise us that you will bring her back safely." Her mother begged. Yukio nodded. "You have our word."

Later in the next few days everything was still the same but Rin's mind would be some where else. "Rin!" Yukio yelled at him and he snapped out of his day dream. "What?" He said bluntly. "Try and pay attention." Rin only nodded and stared at the board but wasn't paying attention. In the back of the Suguro glared at Rin and scoffed and continued to pay attention to Yukio's lesson.

Later after class everyone went to hang out in the school grounds but Rin is gloomy and just sat on a bench. Suguro just glared at him but Rin just stared him with an emotionless face. Suguro walked up to him and grabbed his collar. Miwa and Shima tries to pull him back. "Suguro nows not the time to start a fight." Shima said but Suguro just ignored him. "People like piss me off you say you want to become an exorcist but your not even trying why don't you just drop out." Rin just looked at him not saying a thing like nothing was wrong. Then Yukio came and separated them. "That's enough." Rin just walked away not saying anything and Yukio just sighed. "Yuki what's going on with Rin lately he seems upset." Shiemi came up to him and so did the others. "Yeah Okumara seems to have something on his mind." Miwa said.

"Rin is going through a lot ever since we got here. You see we had this friend, her name was (Name) and we've known her ever since we were kids. I saw her as a sister but Rin saw more than a sister. She's the only one that could keep Rin under control mostly because she's was scarier than him when she was in a fight." Some of them shivered at the thought. "But one day Rin had saw her kill someone." They got quiet. "He freaked out and said many things that hurt her feelings. Rin got home and told me what happened I knew that she was capable of many things but murder was certainly not one of them. Me and my father called her and we found she was taken to a hospital. I met up with her there and that's were she explained to me that she killed him because he was trying to kill an innocent little girl who was trying to call for help and that's when she shot him. Later we found he was wanted in 5 different countries for kidnapping other girls the police managed to find the girls and (Name) was a hero to those girls but she was never the same after that she was basically like Rin right now after that accident." By now all of the exorcist in trainings were so focused on the story. "On the first day me and Rin had gotten into a fight and I told him the truth of what happened that night. Rin regretted everything and he wanted to talk to her again, I promised him we would try after school, but just when we were about call her, her father called me and told me that he hasn't heard anything about (Name) for a while I tried to call but she didn't answer, her father said she went for a stroll at the park but when we arrived when nothing except this." Yukio took out (Name)'s jacket and Fu came out from hiding and everyone jumped back a little. "A jacket and a goblin?" Miwa questioned. "Yes, he lead us towards this. It's (Name)'s jacket that Rin gave her for her birthday before the accident. It seemed that (Name) was able to see demons and managed to tame this little guy. When I found the jacket I also noticed that there was blood on the ground. I knew it was hers because this little guy was attracted to it and I've seen him before with (Name), and ever since Rin keeps blaming himself for her kidnapping."

Shiemi wipes some tears forming in her eyes. "That's awful." Yukio nodded. "I spook with the higher ups about this and they've issued a search party but I don't think it's gonna last long. Anyway I better get going, I'll see you guys tomorrow." Yukio left them and they all had pitiful looks for the twins.

"We have to cheer them up!" Shiemi yelled out of no where. "Uh huh and how do propose we do that?" Kamiki put her hand on her hip. "We can give them a gift that reminds them of (Name)!" Shiemi shouted with excitement and determination. Shima nods and grins. "That sound like a great idea." "Yeah but what are we gonna get them we know nothing about (Name)." Miwa stated. Shiemi thought for a second and came up with an idea. "I know."

She knocked on a door and waited. "Come in~!" A cheerful voice said from the other side. She opened the door and was greeted by Mephisto. "Oh what a pleasant surprise! To what do I owe this pleasant greeting?" Mephisto grinned at them. "Lord Mephisto you are friends with Rin and Yuki, right?" Shiemi asked. Mephisto sat on his chair and smiled. "Well you can say that. I was pretty close with their father, why do you ask?" Shiemi started to get nervous. "Well um we noticed that Rin and Yuki are sad because of what happened to their childhood friend (Name) and we are trying to cheer them up."

"Ah yes I too heard of what happened to (Full name) it was quite tragic but..." He stood up from his chair and grabbed something from his drawer. "I think this might help!" He showed them a picture of (Name), Rin and Yukio before the accident. "Wow she's really cute." Shima commented and everyone agreed. "Yes she is quite a beauty. I never knew her personally but I have heard many things about her. The twins' father told me how she was treated the same way Rin was when she was a child and she was the first person to befriend the twins and I was quite surprised when I found out she was stronger than Rin." He took out another picture of (Name) when she was a child beating up at least 3 kids all by herself. "Wow talk about brutal." Suguro commented. "Indeed I heard that her father taught her how to fight because they used to live in terrible neighborhood before they came here and she needed a way to protect herself." He took out more pictures of (Name) and the twins and gave it them. "These pictures have never seen by the twins or (Name) the twins' father gave them to me because I am their guardian. Anyway you can use these to try and cheer them up I'm sure it will work!" Mephisto grinned. "Now run along." He pushed them all out his room.

"Amaimon." Mephisto sighed and Amaimon came out from hiding. "Yes brother?" Mephisto walked around the room. "Did you really have to hide her here, we almost got caught you know." Mephisto opened the closest door and revealed (Name) still trapped in a crystal case. "I had no where else to hide her if I take back home she can could die, humans can't survive in the underworld for too long. Besides it won't be for too long, soon I'll make my move against Rin Okumara." He licked his lips as he stares at (Name).

With the others. "So what are we gonna do for them?" Shima asked. "We could make a scrapbook for them with these pictures. I'm sure they would like it." Miwa suggested. "That's perfect I'll so buy some materials for the scrapbook!" Shiemi raised her hand. "Ok but we need to makeu sure they don't see it before it's ready so I'll hide it in my place." Kamiki volunteers. "Then it's settled we should be done with by the end of the week.

Rin's p.o.v
Right now I'm just looking at a photo of me, Yukio and (Name) from when we were kids. It was when she came over to my place that day was crazy. I laughed at the memory but then Yukio came in. "Come on we need to head to class." I sighed and put the picture in pocket. "Yeah let's go."

Once we arrived everyone was there and they kept whispering to each other. What's their deal? "Uh guys?" They panicked and all stood by a table very closely like they trying to hide something. "What are guys doing this better not be a prank." Yukio said.

"We made something for you guys!" Shiemi said cheerfully. They all moved aside and on the table was a book it looked like a scrapbook. Me and Yukio sat down at the table and opened it. It several pictures of us and (Name) from back then. I've never seen any these pictures. "How'd you guys get these?" Yukio asked as we kept looking through the book. "Hey Yukio look here's a picture of the time we celebrated our birthday with (Name)!" (Name) was putting icing from onto our face and we were icing on her face. "Hey Rin remember this?" Yukio gestured towards a picture of me and (Name) all beaten up and Yukio treating our injuries. We had gotten into fight with some punks and we beat them up but in the end we got yelled at by our dads. "Hey Yukio check it out here's a picture from when we first met (Name)!" (Name) had her arms around our necks and was smiling like dork to the camera.

"She was so care free back then." Yukio said softly. I looked at the others and smiled. "Thanks guys we needed this." Shiemi came up to me and grabbed my hand. "I know you'll find her I'm sure of it!" I smiled at her. "Right thanks."
