I walked over to my rusted locker and placed books on the top shelf. I pulled out a math textbook and shut my locker, to reveal my best friend mason. I flinched at the sudden sight of him.

"Mason!" I hit his shoulder. "You scared me!" I complained. He laughed.
"That was the point."

I smiled at him before turning my fragile body around to walk to my last class before my lunch break. "So what's up?" I asked. "You'll never guess what's happening!" Excitement dripping from his lips. I chuckled. "How am I suppose to guess if I don't have any hints?" He replied with a giggle. "It's regarding a boy."

I smirked at him. "Is this about a boy that you may or may not have a crush on?" I raised my left eyebrow causing a chuckle to release from his lips. "Sadly, no. You'll never guess who's back!" his excitement piercing through his voice.

My thin shoulder blades when up and down completing a shrug. "Who?"

"Mason! Hadley!" An unfamiliar voice called from the opposite end of the hallway. We turned our heads to see a well known boy.

"Liam!" Mason charged at our old friend.
I jogged over to the two boys who were now embracing each other in a friendly hug. Liam escaped Mason's squeeze and opened his now surprisingly toned arms around my petit waist.

I wrapped my arms around his neck as he cuddled me in his arms. "Wow Liam hit the gym?" I said while pointing to his immense arms. He nodded with a toothless smile.

"Wait Liam how did you get here? I mean, I thought you were attending Davenford Prep." I spoke.

An uncomfortable silence filled the air creating a unique tension.

"Oh I uh, transferred." I nodded my head still in confusion as to why he would leave such a. great school.

Knowing Liam, it was best not question him. Liam had severe anger issues. His anger was uncontrollable. Mason and I have attempted put a stop to it in sixth grade but, miserably failed.

"Alright then." I say.

A wave of awkward silence washes over our disappearing conversation. I turned my head to mason to see him on his phone, not realizing the awkwardness.

"So, Hadley" Liam started. I looked up at him and gave him a smile before he began to speak.

"What classes do you have?"

I looked up to gain memory in order to say them all aloud.

"Math
Dance
Lunch
English
Photography ." I listed.

He nodded his head. "What about you Li?" I asked.

His mouth formed into a smile as he loved the name Li. Whenever I would call him that he would always bite his lip or, even blush. It brought a smile to my face to see Liam happy.

"Science
Math
Lunch
English
P.E." He listed.

"Then I have tryouts for the lacrosse team." He said while hold his stick. I nodded my head.

"You'll do great, don't let anyone shake you."

We exchanged smiles.

"Wait...Yes! We have a class plus lunch together!"I cheered!

"What about Mason?" Liam asked. We both turned out heads to see Mason and another good looking boy chatting.
