Chapter 1: Matthew Albarn and Sammy Evans

*Matthew's P.O.V.*

Me and Sammy had just found a Kishin. "Your not human anymore. Your just like me, but I look cuter in my human form." Sammy said and her arm transformed into a scythe. "Let's go Sammy." I said. Sammy turned into a scythe. I ran towards the Kishin and cut it to leave its soul. "Great job Matthew!" Sammy said grabbing the soul. "It's nothing. We should report back to Madam Death." I said. Sammy nodded and ate the soul. "What do souls taste like anyways?" I asked. "Well, there's no real taste. It's just the feeling when it goes down." Sammy said. "Come on. 42-42-564, when ever you wanna knock on death's door." I said writing it on the window of a store. Then Madam Death and Sarah were on the window. "Why hello, Matthew and Sammy." Madam Death said. "Hey, Madam Death. We just wanted to report that we have connected our 99th Kishin soul." I said. "Great job!!! Now this last soul the warlock soul is the hardest to get and if you mess up all if your Kishin souls will be taken away." Madam Death said. "And Sammy keep your hands off my son." Sarah said. "Like I would settle for someone like him." Sammy said looking away. "So my Matthew isn't good enough for you?!?!?" Sarah said. "You love mommy right Matthew?" Sarah said looking at me. "Like I would ever call you my mother." I said looking away. Sarah sulked in the corner. "Well, I wish you luck." Madam Death said. "Thank you. Good bye." I said and the window was back to its original form. "Let's go Sammy." I said. We ran to this pumpkin house. "We should come up with a plan. Any ideas Sammy?" I asked. "Let's just run in there." Sammy said running off. "Wait!!" I said running after her. "Naked man!!!" Sammy yelled going face first into the chest of a man. "What are you doing in my bath, beautiful?" He said looking at Sammy. "Stupid!" I said kicking Sammy into the wall of the bathroom. "Sorry, but we're here to take your soul warlock." I said. "Warlock?" He said. "Turn into a scythe already." I said. "Okay, okay." Sammy said turning into a scythe. The man stepped out and his clothes appeared on him. "Pumpkin Halloween Cannon!" He said and me and Sammy were blown away.

Round Two!

"Now Sammy we'll sneak up on him." I said as we hid behind a tree. "Pumpkin Halloween Cannon!" The 'warlock' said.

Round Three!

"Okay, this time I planned the whole thing on this paper." I said as we were walking to the 'warlock's' house. As soon as we walked up to the house... "Pumpkin Halloween Cannon!" The 'warlock' said.

Round Four!

I swung at the warlock and cut one of his pumpkins. "Damn. Stop moving!" I yelled. "Matthew calm down." Sammy said. "Stay out of this Sammy!" I yelled attacking the 'warlock'. "Why don't you come live with me scythe girl? This guy seems to bother you." Brian the 'warlock' said. "No. Sammy and I are partners. She would never leave me for you." I said attacking. I just cut another one of his pumpkins. "Sammy, this isn't working. My attacks aren't working on him." I said. "Sammy?" I said. Brian threw another attack and I ended up almost falling from a roof. "Sammy talk to me why aren't you talking?" I asked. Then Sammy transformed back into her human form. "Matthew, snap tuck." Sammy said letting go of my hand. I couldn't hold on and fell into a trash basket. "Sammy! What was that for? You could of killed me!" I yelled. "I'm going with Brian." Sammy said. "What? I trusted you. I knew better not to... You traitor!" I yelled. "No need for mean words. Partners stick together." Sammy said and her arm changed into a scythe. "Matthew!" Sammy yelled reaching out. "Sammy!" I yelled grabbing her hand and she turned into a scythe. I cut Brian in half to leave his soul. "Thanks Sammy." I said scratching my head. "Don't worry about it. With this I'll be the coolest person in school." Sammy said eating the soul. "I feel the power!!!" Sammy said. "Really?!?" I said. "Or not..." Sammy said with a blank face. "What?" I said. Then a cat appeared in front of us. "I never said I was a warlock. You just assumed that I was." Brian said transformed into his human form. "Let's go Sammy." I said. We got on Sammy's motorcycle. Brian followed behind us. "Are you going to leave cat man?" I yelled. "No way. Not until your friend comes." Brian said. "She's never coming with you!" I yelled. "This is not cool." Sammy said and drove faster.
