Hana
Jungkook was driving fast in the car as I felt a huge breeze brush past me as the windows were down,I became flustered and held onto his free hand tightly,my throat tightening. With reassurance,Jungkook squeezed my hand firmly,"We're on the way."
"Alright," I sighed in relief.
"What should we eat for our dinner?"
"Pizza? Pasta?"
"Pizza it is," Jungkook chuckled since pasta wasn't his cup of tea. "How about pepperoni pizza?" I requested.
"Sure," Jungkook agreed.
We reached a mall and bought those pizzas that were made on the spot. Right, instant pizza. He purchased a mini one as well as side dishes,chicken and corn on a cob.
"Let's go!" Jungkook lifted the plastic bag swiftly with our dinner in it. He drove some more,a couple of miles ahead from the mall. The car finally came to a halt,I scanned the ominous area snapping my head to Jungkook and I frowned. "Turn that frown upside down will you?" Jungkook grunted. "What're we doing here?" I continued to scrutinise the area. We were at the side of the road, surrounded by many trees and I felt like they were enclosing in on us due to their extremely tall and large appearance. The thick,wooden branches stretched far from one end of the road to the other.
"Is this place safe?"
"Super!" Jungkook exclaimed.
"How could you be so sure?" I frowned again.
"Trust me,I've been here a couple of times. I memorised every inch of this forest so you'll be very safe and secured," He replied.
I shrugged and got out of the car. We interlocked our hands and strolled into the woods. Next,we came to the heart of the forest and the distinct sound of crickets could be heard. The moon rose bright and the stars were alined. Jungkook removed my blindfold that I was wearing throughout the walk,I opened my eyes and my mouth gawped. With his 'magic' and powers,he transformed the area into a less spookier place. Balloons were hung around the tree trunks,a table was set up before my eyes with various china cutlery and two candles were lit. Two wine glasses were settled in place beside our plates.There were photos of Jungkook and I together scattered around the area too. I was speechless and I was stuck in the moment of admiring my boyfriend's creative and amazing work. "I love this so much," I finally had the words to say aloud. I enveloped him in a hug and said," I love you,I love you,I love you Jungkook."
"Don't say that just yet," Jungkook pecked my lips and brought me to the table. I sat down on the plastic chair followed by him. He tossed me the pizza box and I opened it up. The aroma of the pepperoni wafted my nose and I licked my lips greedily. "Hana,stop being a pig," Jungkook commented. I ignored him and I began with my first slice of pizza followed by the next. During the process of gobbling up our slices of pizza,Jungkook paused and wiped his hands with the wine red maroon cloth. "Look at this!" He exclaimed,picking up the photo of us on our first date. We were having some ice cream and Jungkook had sneaked up beside me and snapped the photo. "Haha I do,oh remember that moment when you held my hand for the first time when I went grocery shopping!" I chuckled. We spent a while reminising our time together as a couple and whenever I look at Jungkook,I feel like I'm sane and he's the only person who could ever understand what I'm experiencing. Of course,we're of the same kind and we are a couple but goodness I have to reiterate the point that my love for him is unconditional. From his bunny smile,his long and thin fingers with his veins that run down to his arms and his bubbly and affectionate character. Oh god what would I do without him?
Before I knew it,Jungkook leaped out of his seat. "Ms Kim,how would you like to dance with me?"
"Without music,sir?" I smirked.
"Your voice is the music to my ears," He beamed. He held my hand and brought me to the middle of the ground. As we began dancing,the snapping of the twigs and the leaves that began to fall didn't seem to bother me at least one bit. Jungkook was with me and that's all that mattered. He brought me closer and he leaned his chin against my shoulder as he wrapped his arms around my waist and swayed me from left to right. "I love you," He whispered.
"I love you very much as well," I muttered and closed my eyes to savour that moment.
I wished it never ended.
