Chapter 12

Eleanor was hyperventilating all morning as Sasha struggled to calm her down saying it was not good for the baby. Today was the day Eric was coming home. Thankfully, they did not have to pick him up from the airport. Eleanor had managed to litter her bedroom floor with a heap of her clothes in an attempt to find something to conceal her bump.

“What am I gonna do Sash!” She shrieked.

“Calm down for the one hundredth time already Lea!” Sasha said with a fake glare at Eleanor.

Eleanor just kept pacing around her bedroom in just her bra and panty, with her protruding belly. Sasha looked on amused by Eleanor’s panic.

“Ok, come here Lea.” Sasha said soothingly stretching out her hand to Eleanor, who dragged herself over pouting adorably. She sat down on Sasha’s lap wry faced.

“Don’t worry about Eric Lea, he loves you, and he will be more than understanding, but if he tries to come down hard on you, I will personally deal with him.” She said sternly.

Eleanor nodded, hanging her head, but a noticeable smile started to stretch across her face. She hugged Sasha with all that she had and mumbled a ‘thank you’ on her chest.

She picked out a kind of satiny turquoise dress that showed off her bump. That would make it much easier and obviously noticeable to Eric and anyone who was not blind. Sasha smiled at Eleanor for her bravery, and squeezed her hand encouragingly. Eric was now due any minute, since he had called earlier to let them know he was on his way.

They walked into the living room where Ariel was glued to the TV watching ‘Ni Hao, Kai-Lan’ as if her life depended on it. She was certainly oblivious to the anxiety in the air. Eric arrived about fifteen minutes later, all smiles, as he opened the door. Eleanor stood up, and so did Sasha, grabbing her hand and squeezing it gently as a form of reassurance, but Ariel, as earlier said, was oblivious.

He dropped everything he was holding with a thud when his eyes landed on Eleanor, with his mouth hanging open. Eleanor just glared at him, while Sasha raised her eyebrow daring him to challenge them. As much as Eric had a thing for Sasha, he was deadly afraid to get on her wrong side, so he quickly composed himself, and rushed over to give his sister a much needed hug, then quickly hugged Sasha, blushing slightly.

At this point, Ariel looked up before going back to her show, but quickly whipped her head back up when she realized she had just seen Eric. She quickly stood up squealing on top of her tiny voice, as she ran over to him, flying on him for a big bear hug. Eric’s face lit up because he was so fond of Ariel, and her innocent enthusiasm. He certainly needed it to grasp the bump he had seen on his little sister. He was furious, but he let it slide for now, with a note to himself to pursue it later.

Little Ariel obliviously managed to diffuse the tension in the air, and before long, they were all laughing and having a time of their lives. They had lunch, and discussed what had been going on in their lives after so many months apart. They avoided the pregnancy topic, but they all had a mutual understanding that this would be discussed later, when Ariel was asleep. Eleanor and Ariel both fell asleep from exhaustion, shortly after lunch.

Sasha and Eric were left alone most of the afternoon, and they were more than happy for that chance to flirt. Eric turned on his charm, but Sasha was excessively experienced to show Eric the effect he had on her. She smirked at his every attempt to please her, and soon he gave up, standing up to go to the bar section of the house.

“Given up already have we?” Sasha taunted.

Eric smirked knowingly before responding smoothly, “Don’t get your hopes high babe, I need a refill,” as he raised his glass up waving it suggestively.

Sasha gulped, but quickly covered it up with a scowl, and waved her hand dismissively towards Eric, while turning her head to face the TV. Underneath all this game, she was shaking like a leaf, and she was surprised Eric had not seen right through her yet. She could not sit still, so she got up, and walked over to the DVD rack desperate for some sort of distraction to calm down her raging hormones.

She did not notice Eric walk back into the lounge, or stand right behind her. All she felt was, him breathing down her neck, deliberately trying to tease her. Her resolve slightly faltered. This did not go unnoticed, and Eric wasted no time in using this to his advantage. He was very aware of how much she was attracted to him since he felt the same way towards her, but he knew that girls like Sasha, who seemed so strong willed, were often the most vulnerable of them all. He had to be completely careful how he played his cards around her.

He span her around very fast to face him, and her eyes widened, as he moved his lips close to hers, making a show of kissing her, but watching her intently for any uncertainty, and giving her a chance to push him away. Sasha felt so trapped, torn between her obvious attraction towards Eric, and her fear of falling for him, only to get her heart shuttered into thousands of little pieces that no one could put back together. It took her ages, to mend it back, after Ariel’s dad, unfortunately, it turned out rough.

Luckily for Eric, Sasha slowly, but hesitantly leaned closer to him, bringing her lips to meet his. She had decided to give it a shot, it had been four long lonely years, at least she deserved some action in her life!

A/N:

I thought you'd appreciate something on Eric & Sasha. I don't think I'll continue on that note because the story is about Eleanor & not Sasha. :( Love y'all though too much. Mwaah
