"No. I don't think we have met." Samantha lied quickly. There was no way she was starting back from where she left off. She came back for a new start.
"Hmm..... Alright, anyway, so what was this incident in 6th grade?" Tony replied changing subjects. He still didn't fully believe her and thought back to his 6th grade.
The year he last saw the girl who was stronger than him in heart, the one who once had left he realized just how much he actually screwed up with making a friend.
Samantha looked down, "I snapped at a kid... My mother felt it was best if we moved." Tony looks at her shocked for a moment.
"Really? You don't seem like that kind of girl... I personally thought you were more of the silent nerd type that once you get to know ends up having a collection of Monster High dolls." Tony says looking at the slanted picture. His tone only having a pinch of sarcasm. Samantha looks up at him and can only stare.
'Really? Monster High? Is that even a thing anymore?' She thinks to her self confused. One thing is for sure, he hasn't changed very much with personality.
"So, this is a technology company. So do you have any prior knowledge with tech?" Tony asks blandly and Samantha is snapped out of her daze, pushing her glasses up she nods.
"Yes, I do. I was at the top of my collages tech club and technology classes." Samantha states nervous at first then getting more confident in her self near the end of her sentence. There was no way she was going to let him make her afraid ever again.
Tony was surprised by her confidence and even a little impressed but not to much. He created the ironman suit in a cave as a captive. He made his first circuit board when he was 6. Really it meant nothing much.
"Hm, well that's interesting, for a new-bee I guess that's an accomplishment so congrats on passing beginners school." He says leaning back in his chair. This comment made Samantha mad but she kept her composure... Mostly.
"Well no offence but what have you done?" She asks and he looks at her questioningly.
"Really? Well I started this business, created nuclear weapons the size of pens, and oh yeah. I am Iron Man." He says blandly and Samantha looks at him confused for a second...
Iron Man? What is he the owner of a laundry mat to?
Then it clicks and her eyes go small. Iron Man, is a avenger. The ones her roommate Jean would never shut up about... So much for someday being more successful than him. He owns a company, made the Iron Man armor, and has saved the world.... And she has.... Created a robot that can fly to the other planets past mars and take pictures and collect samples... Well that's just great.
"Your Iron Man?" She asks hesitantly and he just raises a eyebrow at her.
"Have you not left your woodland house in 3 years?" He asks and she looks down again.
"I didn't live year for the past 9 years and didn't want to hear anything about it really." She says and he claps his hands together startling her.
"Well that was fun but I think I should go, it must have been a pleasure meeting me, and I will let you know if you got the job through Pepper." Tony says and she nods standing up and leaving the room.
Once she closes the door she takes a deep breath.
Her and Pepper had to talk...
