I wake up to the sound of my annoying alarm clock. Ughh I dont even remember setting that thing i look over to turn it off and theres a note with my name on it

What a day i have planned for you!! First you must get dressed and dont be too slow...welcome to your birthday scavenger hunt!! Your next clue is hidden where you keep from starving!!

"It didnt even rhyme..." I mutter
Cole and I have been together for almost a year now and he couldn't be sweeter! Sure he was a drunken jerk when I first met him but hey everyone has their flaws right? As soon as i get dressed i head downstairs to the kitchen and there next to a dozen roses is yet another clue
Layla
Two down...eight to go!!! And no these wont rhyme...okay your next clue is being guarded by the fiercest of the group.

"Annabelle.." I say as i throw on my sneakers and head to my car assuming I'll have to go somewhere else.
I head over to her house and ring the door bell. To no surprise she comes to the door and starts to hand me the note but quickly pulls away.
"Kate and i will be doing your makeup!!" She squeals.
"Oh no.." I say as she drags me upstairs.
Kate is there in front of the mirror with a whole bunch of makeup.
"Good grief...." I say
"Dont worry it will be fun!!" Kate says
An hour later my makeup is done and im off to my next clue.
Layla
I hope you like your makeup even though it was tough to sit still. Your next clue is with our good friend Eli in our favorite hangout

Great im off again to the diner! Woo...
I arrive at the diner and I see Eli sitting drinking a hot chocolate with cinnamon.
"Ah Layla how ya doing?" He asks.
"A bit scrambled but other than that it's been a good birthday," I smile.
"Well Cole has sooo much more planned for you," he says.
Layla
Guess who's going shopping? I know it's not your favorite thing but in this case it's crucial. Go to the mall and that's where Anastasia is waiting.

Awesome the mall. I say a quick goodbye to Eli and head off to the mall for shopping. All the while I'm wondering why the heck do I need to go shopping? Anyhow none the less it's part of Cole's plan and I'll happily oblige.
I pull into the parking garage of the mall and see Anastasia standing there with my next note.
"Layla I assume you've been having fun?" She laughs
"Oh its the best especially the makeup," I say laughing.
"Well now we get to go shopping!!" She says.
"This should be fun," I say.
Anastasia handed me the note before we headed inside.
Layla
I see you've found our dear Anastasia now all you have to do is shop for a dress and shoes-which I have happily given Anastasia money for whatever dress your heart desires and shoes I suggest you let Anastasia pick them out...can't have you wearing sneakers now can we? The next note will be with the cashier at the shoe store.

"No sneakers?!" I exclaim Anastasia just rolls her eyes and leads me inside.
We looked for hours it seemed like until I found a blue dress that poofed out a little and the chest was covered in sparkles meanwhile the shoes were blue high heels but not high enough for me to fall and break an ankle. Anastasia payed the cashier and she gave me my next note.

I know shopping can be dull but here is the fun part! You'll get to go over to pie five for pizza with Annabelle. Note 6 down 4 to go!!

Awesome food!! It's pizza too this couldn't get better. I got in my car and said my goodbye to Anastasia because she already ate and didn't want to come to pie five. I wonder why Cole is going through all of this trouble I mean  I know it's my birthday I'm just confused at all of the theatrics. I pull into pie five and go inside to order-cheese pizza all the way!! I look around and see Annabelle sitting out on the patio with a note in her hand.
"Hey Annabelle," I smile
"Hey Lay how's the hunt going?"
"I had to go shopping!" I complain.
"You poor poor soul!" She says sarcastically.
"Ha ha but it was terrible!" I laugh a little.
"At least it was with Anastasia and not Eli," she laughs.
I pick up a slice a pizza and fold it in half and start to eat it.
"Who folds their pizza in half?" Annabelle asks.
"Uhhh me duh!" I exclaim.
We laugh and talk and soon enough our lunch is over with.
"Well here's your note," she hands me the note

I hope your food was good and you had a nice laugh but it's back to prepping! I know I know but before you moan and groan just know that after this note there's only 3 left, your next stop is back to Kate to touch up your makeup and get ready for your birthday surprise!

Awesome more makeup!! I say bye to Annabelle and head over to Kate's house to sit and once again have my make up done.

"Hey Layla!" Kate says from the front door.
"Hey Kate," I say
"ready to become Cinderella?" We both laugh a little.
Kate starts with touching up my concealer and foundation and then on to redefining my eyeliner and putting a little bit of mascara on. It's then my turn to put on my dress and heels. I twist and twirl proud of the dress that I had picked out.
"Lay...you look gorgeous," Kate says
"All thanks to you," I smile
"Here's your note,"

I know you couldn't look anything less than gorgeous as usual I just hope you've enjoyed your day it's now off to dinner with all of your friends at 4 seasons...I ordered shrimp ahead just for you

Aw he's so sweet. I look towards Kate and she's in a maroon dress that has a strapless underneath but lace over that with black flats. We get in my car and I drive off to 4 Seasons. We're met there by Anastasia who was in a green dress and sandals. Annabelle was there in a royal blue dress that was strapless with black wedges. Annabelle and Anastasia had the note and we headed into the restaurant. We laughed and talked and honestly had a great time. All too soon the dinner ended and it was time to head to the next clue.

Dinner was hopefully fun but now it's time for your final stop.  that is where I'll meet you. Go to 87th street park See you soon.

I drive to the park with my friends close behind. As soon as I pull up there's all these lights in the trees and Cole is standing in the wooden picnic house with a tux on. I walk up to him and give him a hug and quick peck on the lips.
"Did you have fun today?" He asks.
"Defiantly but there were only 9 notes not 10,"
"There's still one note left," he smiles
"But what's the point in the 10th note I'm already here,"
"Layla, I fell in love with you the moment I saw you, I know I couldn't have had a better soul mate. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and only you. Layla," he looks into my eyes and hands me the final note.
Will you do me the honor of being my wife and marrying me?
"Of course you knuckle head," I laugh as I kiss him and start crying tears of joy.
Who knew I would get engaged on my birthday?

A/n okay so before you all freak out saying their too young, Layla is now 21 Cole is a year older than her making him 22, Annabelle is 20 Anastasia is 20 and so is Kate
