Saving her (11)

Kate's POV
"Annabelle I'm telling you! Layla is in trouble!" I say driving towards the address I got from Layla when I told her that I was her sister and i wanted to see how she was doing.
"You're being ridiculous, it was a joke most likely since you were on a four year cruise!" She responds texting her soul mate most likely.
"Well don't get upset when I say I told you so," I snap.
"Jeez Kate," she mutters
We arrive at a house in the middle of nowhere. I check the address one last time and set my phone in my purse sling it over my shoulder and go to knock on the door. Once I knock a very pregnant Layla comes out looking pale.
"Hey Lay how are you doing?" I ask
"I'm better than when I woke up," she responds quietly.
"Hey what do you say about getting lunch with Annabelle and I?" I suggest
"I don't think going to lunch with someone I don't know isn't a very good idea,"
"Oh sure it is! You'll get to know us and maybe remember?" I smile
"Okay just let me tell Eli and I'll be out,"
"Alright I'll be in the car!"
I walk back to the car and hop in the drivers seat. Annabelle is still texting her soul mate and I decide to scroll through Instagram. I am feeling too happy to say 'I told you so' to Annabelle. We're going to get our Layla back. 
Layla gets to the car and sits in the back and folds her hands in her lap with her bag beside her. I pull out of the driveway and head to our favorite diner.
"So Lay, you and Eli?" I ask
"Yeah I don't remember much but he filled me in, I guess since he has the other half he isn't lying," she says her voice barely above a whisper.
"Hey why so quiet?" Annabelle asks
"Says the one who hasn't said a word," she mutters
"Okay okay," Annabelle laughs, "fair enough,"
Layla looks out the window and I focus on the road. Her house was a bit out of the way but none the less she's safe now.
"Eli took her?" Annabelle whispers and I nod.
*Layla's POV in the car"
"Eli took her?" The girl Annabelle asked and Kate nodded.
What do they mean 'took me'? I married him didn't I? I had so many questions that needed answers. Eli is my husband and father to my twins. I was so confused and frustrated I couldn't remember a thing before I woke up. Who are these people and why did they want to take me to lunch so bad?
