{CARRIE}

I quickly grabbed my laptop, could it actually be him? I look at my inbox.. One new email, From: danisnotonfire1@gmail.com

Oh my god.. my mind races as i stare at my screen. "Um Carrie," Alex taps my shoulder, "maybe you could actually click it." Yeah right, I think to myself shaking my head. I hesitate then click, the screen opens an email:

Carrie,

Thank you and your letter was sweet, i would definitely love to meet up with you at VidCon .. and don't worry i consider myself nocturnal because i'm up till dawn reblogging from tumblr. also i don't think you understand my love for malteasers we're in an exclusive relationship.

Oh my god.. i read the email again, and again, and again. I turn to Alex and flash him a million dollar smile, "what's your deal," he laughs, all I do is smile and point at the screen, actually speechless. I watch as Alex reads over the email, his eyes stop over the sign off: Dan x. "Wait," he looks at me, "this is from the guy off youtube you've been in love with since forever?" I smile and nod looking ridiculous. "Whoa, thats pretty cool," Alex nods, "yeah," I say back finally finding my words, "this is pretty freaking insane."

"Have you finished your final English paper?" Alex asks switching the topic

"Yeah," I reply. The end of year was in about a week which usually mean to lessen the work load and end the year nicely.. But no, our uni decides that it's the perfect opportunity to pile on even more work. "But seriously Alex," I pause for effect, "freaking Dan Howell emailed me, freaking Dan Howell, oh my god, he said my letter was sweet.. He gets that tumblr is addicting and keeps you up till 4 am.. Oh my god.. he said he would like to meet up with me ...Dan freaking Howell." I gasp for air as I finish fangirling, Alex is just staring at me like i'm completely insane and asks: "are you done? "

"I think so." I say back, as the news is slowly sinking in.

"Good," Alex says, "because lunch break ends in five."

"Shit," i mutter as i put away my laptop throw out my food, "let's go." I call back to Alex who's pants still haven't dried yet, I finally let loose of my laugh, "had a little accident I see," I say to him. Alex turn bright red and quickly walks towards campus leaving me behind, "Hey!" I yell catching up to him whilst entering the main hall, still giggling, "sorry, don't be mad." I pouted, "Whatever," Alex rolled his eyes; I winked at him linked our arms and walked towards our US History classroom. "Hey," Alex says halting us, "thats new," he points at a flyer pinned on to the 'Notices' board, it read:

A group of selected student will have the opportunity to study abroad next year, attending one of the schools that UAS (University of Arts Singapore) is in collaboration with. You will need to fill out an application, which you can pick up at the main office, it will have to be turned in before the end of this term. The countries you could be going to are: Australia, America, England, and Japan. Thank you.

We both read the flyer, then turned to each other. "We should do it," I say to Alex, "You think?" He asks clearly edgy about leaving Singapore, "Come ON Alex do you seriously want to spend another year here, rather than going to any of these places?" I wave my hand randomly gesturing the flyer. "Thats true," Alex drags out each word, I smile, "yay yay yay yay yay!" I turn to run toward the main office, hearing Alex sigh behind me, "that's not a yes," he yells. But I know Alex too well, and hopefully next year I'll be able to finally escape and really start life.

A/N: Yey, so another chapter is up.. It's a lot of build up and background info just so that the story will make sense later on. I'm edgy about the title of my story.. It's a bit common if i can get any comments suggesting other titles it will be a ton of help! I'm hoping this chapter is slightly better than the previous one haha.. i'll try and get another chapter up tomorrow.. again thanks for reading this far x
