Chapter 4

{DAN}

Dan,

ok so it's planned we're meeting at VidCon :) then we could further discuss this malteasers situation. I would love to get to know you.. though i probably know everything there is to know already. umm here are some facts about me i guess: i have a fear of heights the ocean and speaking in public. i make killer milkshakes. i live and have lived in singapore for my entire life, i have red hair, i'm very socially awkward.. and actually yes! My friend Alex and i applied to be exchange students and we got chosen to go to England we're so excited! so starting September we'll be at UAL.

She was perfect, I never thought I was the type to fall for a fan, let alone a girl I've never met before, but people change right? UAL.. University of Arts in London, so she was into the arts, thats pretty cool, I thought. I read through the email again smiling to myself, "my friend Alex and I..." So they were only friends I hoped.

I heard the door slam as angry Phil storms into the apartment, "I can't fucking believe her," he yells as he throws himself down on the couch, I hear him muttering angrily but can't make out what he's saying. I walk over, sit down and ask calmly, "Phil, what happened?"

"I can't believe her," he repeats but continues, "I'm walking back from the city thinking it would be nice to stop by Emily's flat to say hi and rent a movie or something, I reach her apartment door and hear a scream," he breathes, "I get worried so I smash down the door and what do I see?" He becomes silent, tears quietly forming and falling, "uh Phil?" I say awkwardly, "I don't actually know what you saw," I trail off, "SHE WAS DOING SOMEONE ELSE!" He then explodes, "she was doing, she was" Phil looked down unable to finish, as he gasps between hiccups and tears. "I'm sor-" I start to say before Phil gets up walks to his room completely silent. I sat there for awhile processing, I've always been skeptical about Phil dating Emily, something was definitely off about her. She was now a lying bitching excuse of a female that broke Phil's heart and I hated her for it. I felt bad for Phil, girls always dated him so that they'd have someone to date, being too nice to reject anyone Phil has dated a lot of horrible girls who used him and then dropped him.

{CARRIE}

I yawned and let my head drop into Alex's shoulder, for as long as I can remember I've always felt safe in Alex's arms. Sophie had disappeared into her room, so after eating two whole pizzas we collapsed onto the sofa and clicked on the TV, it was around 2am so sleep was getting to me, the Adventure Time theme song comes on and I hear Alex hum along, I laugh to myself, "you're such a nerd," I whisper to him. He cuddles me closer and whispers back, "and you love me for it." I turn slightly to look at Alex, he was definitely cute: shaggy brown/ blond hair, the bluest eyes I could just fall into, freckles dotted his nose and cheeks, he was easily 5'10 or 5'11. He was adopted when born by a Singaporean Family, so where he was from exactly we didn't know.

He nudged me out of my thoughts, "What are you looking at," Alex asks me, "you," I admit. He blushes turning back to the TV screen and slipping his hand around my waist, we watch Adventure Time in silence for a couple minutes before Alex says: "Carrie?" I hum in response, "Do you think girls would date me?" Since forever Alex has been too shy to ever ask out a girl, the only girlfriend he has had was back in grade school; this girl named Nancy "married" him during recess one day and "divorced" him the next. "Of course Alex," I answer, he opens his mouth to say something but decides against it. "Would," Alex starts but pauses, "would you date me?" He turns and looks me in the eyes, I stare back: shocked, speechless, processing. "W-what?" I barely whisper back.

A/N: heey guyyss, drama drama draamaa ;) so i'm not as happy as i would like to be about this chapter but oh well.. and asdfghjkl i'm actually getting reads & votes <3 thankyou so much, i hope you're enjoying the storyy!
