Running, she sprints towards the ten yard line, she whips around and catches the incoming ball. She pushes herself to go farther and farther. She made a touchdown. The crowd screams and her team cheers. The overwhelming sound of victory rang in her ears giving her a headache. The last thing she remembers before fainting to the ground, is the worried faces of her team. Her team rushes towards her "Damnit, you idiot, Mara, what trouble have you gotten into this time?" Bennett calls in a worried tone.
The paramedics soon rush her to the hospital. You see the thing is Mara is suffering from Pulmonary Hypertension and it took the whole football team to convince her not to play ,but she didn't listen. She had to much pride and this was the last game of the season. She knew the risks.
Waking up dazed and confused, she looked around her room. She sweat-dropped when she realized why she was there. The doors swing open and in walks Andrew, Asher, Mitchell, and finally Bennett. It takes them awhile to realize that she is up and awake ,but when they do she is bombarded with questions and hugs of relief. She laughs and begins to answer their questions.
    "Are you alright?" Asks Bennett
    "I am fine." She replies
"I could beg to differ," Asher replies under his breath. This earns him a slap to the back of the head from Mitchell.
"OMG, Mara are you okay?" Asks Mara's friend Kaylee
Sighing she replies with a subtle "yeah," This catches the attention of Bennett, who decides to overlook her sudden sadness. In walks the rest of her family. Her mother is weeping over such a small thing, while her father is on the phone. Scoffing at his ex-wife's behavior, he continues talking on the phone with his new, current girl-friend. Her eyes darken as she sees this ,but still does not have the will to mention it.
Mara's parents are divorced and don't get along to well. Mara and her brother, both switch between living at their moms house or visiting their dad, who lives 2 hours away. She barely convinced him to come to her game, she was surprised when he did because it wasn't like he went to any of her others. Her father was a terrifying person, who worked at a high-security correctional faculty.
Mara was released from the hospital, but not without a slap on the wrist from her doctor, He didn't want to have to keep seeing her, being as she had already had the same problem several times before. As she exited the hospital, she remembered she left her school stuff in her locker before the game and asked Bennett if he could drive her. He couldn't deny his bestfriend anything especially when she was still in her jersey and shorts from the game. So off to school they went. They arrived soon after leaving the hospital and they jumped out of the car. They slowly entered the gym, but parted ways when they reached their separate locker rooms. Bennett had to go and get his stuff because he was in such a rush to see if she was okay, that he totally forgot to grab his stuff after changing.Mara begins to collect her stuff and as she passes the mirror in the locker room, she stops and stares at herself. She is disappointed in herself for showing such weakness and causing such worry for the people around her, She silently punished herself. Looking herself up and down, she criticized her body. She was wearing light wash skinny jeans that were ripped at the knees and her jersey that her lucky number on it. 8 was her special number, she couldn't count how many times the number 8 showed up in her life. She questioned herself in fear of forgetting who she really was. Not some girl who was sad because she her bestfriend who she called a sister, Kaylee, was ignoring her for other people like Finn and Alec ,but sad for her friend that doesn't get to be apart of her life.
She shakes the thought out of her head and wipes away the tears that unconsciously fell from her tear soaked lashes. She exits the locker room to see Bennett waiting for her, looking distressed.
"Hey, are you okay?" She asks him
"Why did you look so sad when kaylee asked if you were alright. I mean isn't she your bestfr-,"
"Well some bestfriend she is, ignoring me for a stupid guy." She interrupts him harshly
"So that's what happened," exclaimed finally understanding what bothered his bestfriend.
They change the typical and joyfully celebrate their win on their way back to the car. Blasting music, Bennett pulls up to the front of Mara's 6 bedroom house. They wish each other good-bye and promise to text each other when Bennett gets back to his house safely. She unlocks the door to her house and heads up to her room. She stops at her moms room and knocks
"Hey mom, just got back home," She waits for a reply, after a few seconds she decides to go to her room and text her mom. She probably at work anyway. She swing the white door open to see her room, which is black and white that has subtle accents of gold and silver . She loves her room, it is her sanctuary and she basically lives in her room. She walks into her connected bathroom after getting her pj's and gets ready to take a shower.
About 15 minutes later, she walks out in her sleeping shorts and a tank top. She always loved taking showers at night, they helped her focus on her homework more. So, she sits down at her desk and covers her legs with her fluffy, white fur throw blanket and does her homework.

*******Time skip about 30 minutes later cuz homework is boring.

"DING DING," she picks up her phone to see she got a text from Bennett asking if she was alright to go to school the next day and she replies with a
"Why, worried that your only friend will be gone for a day?," she laughs as she sends the text
"Not funny," she replies sending very unamused emojis
She picks up her phone after putting away her school stuff and lays down on her pure white bed. She turns off the sound on her phone after texting her friends good-night. She turns off her lights and as soon as her bed hits the pillow she in out like a light.
*********Another Time skip cuz....... Yeah

"BUUUUUUZZZZZZZ BBBUUUUUUZZZZZ," her alarm wakes her up and she smacks it hard, making sure to make the annoying sound stop. She gets out of bed and begins to get ready for the day. Exiting her room, she runs into her older brother, Dakota, who definitely looks more like her mother than she does. She resembled her father. He smiles, says good morning and gives her a hug. They to siblings have always been pretty close because they were all each other had when their parents were arguing before they settled for a divorce. They walked down to the kitchen where their mom had made them each personalized breakfasts to fit their particular tastes. After thanking their mom graciously they dug into the delicious smelling plates that were placed in front of them, but not before saying "Ding," which was a family tradition that started back when their parents were still married. No one knows where it came from ,but Mara ,being the youngest child, after everybody else said "ding," would say dong and with that everybody was now aloud to eat. After finishing their delicious food, they grabbed their backpacks and headed for Dakota's car. He had a pure black 4-wheel jeep, which had the roof off a lot of the time. They rocked out to all their favorite songs. They made it to school and got out of the car after Dakota parked. Walking in, everyone in the corridors cheered because nobody ever missed a chance to cheer on their school team. Smiling, she walked to her locker to get her books. She grins mischievously when she sees her friends standing at her locker, waiting for her. She slowly, and quietly walks up behind Bennett, she grabs his shoulders and jumps on his back. All her other friends starting laughing at Bennett's reaction.
"Holy Shit, Mara, you scared the crap out of me," he supports her weight by putting his hands under her thighs, which was normal for the inseparable pair.
"Sorry," she replies after laughing really hard,"
A grim look showed up on her face as she noticed an odd couple walking towards the noisy groups of friends.
"Hey Mara, can I talk to you?" Asks Kaylee, who was wrapped in Alec's jealous arms. She replied with a hesitant sure after contemplating on what might he said. She hops off Bennett's back and looks at him with a worried face. He gives her a reassuring smile, she turns around and follows Kaylee to a different part of the school that is quiet, so they can talk.
"Where do we stand?" Asks Kaylee shyly
"I don't know, that is up to you."She replies
